Cask: Regular.
Keltek Mild Ale is a traditional dark mild but fruity in taste with great character. It is one of those products that catch the eye at the pump. Winner of the Mild Ale Class, SIBA Maltings Beer Festival

Cask-conditioned at the Cornish Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol7/02/2011. Dark brown with a frothy, off-white head. Sweet, milk chocolate and caramel aroma with some grassy hop. Flavour was also sweet, with some earthy malts and a strange, slightly floral kick in the finish. Unusual, although I am not sure whether this was positive.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Bad aroma of sugar and plastic. A very pleasant hop fruit washes form the start to finish, across an unassuming plain background, which only hints at roast cardboard. Unusual for a Mild, but the loose hopped, milk fruit (which is perhaps orange) is pleasing.

Cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 12th Feb 2010. Very dark chestnut. Rather musty aroma. Quite watery with a malty taste. A solid but rather dull mild.

[Gravity cask at Chippenham beerfest] Brown sauce, autumn fruits, a hint of smoke, earthy and a dry finish. The brown sauce is a little odd, but it grew on me. OK.

Cask conditioned handpump Coach & Horses Wellingborough A black beer with an off-white head and lace. The aroma is smoky with licorice and a little fruit. The taste is roasty with licorice and berries. Quite smooth palate with big flavours although after a while you get the impression of too much going on and it becomes a touch tiresome.
