Cask-conditioned at the Star, Bath 18/07/09. Reddish amber with a slight, off-white head. A very eassry drinking bitter, dominated by fruity malts with not much going on hop-wise. Finish was pleasantly bitter.

Cask (handpump) at the Wenlock Arms, Islington, 31 July 2009. Fairly straightforward basic session bitter. Amber colour. More malt than hop. Slightly fruity. Perfectly acceptable but not very exciting.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Amber colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma of toffee. Flavour of toffee, caramel, sour fruits, maybe some sherry. Slightly bittter, fairly dry. Odd one.

Cask (handpump) @ Wenlock Arms, 26 Wenlock Road, London, Greater London England N1 7TA. Clear medium orange amber color with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, overriped apple, nutty notes, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090731]

Cask, gravity, at The Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. Amber with a small off white head. Cocoa malt aroma. Sweet taste with a hint of chocolate, but to be frank, a bit thin and watery. Slight bitterness. Rather chilly.

Cask@Wenlock Arms. A bit reddish amber colour with small head. Aroma is caramel malts, wood, some mild earthy notes as well as some berryish notes. Flavour is caramel malts, earth and some dry fruityness. Also some yeast.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma has a bit of berry fruit and a bit of caramel. Same in the mouth although the fruit is more dominant. A bit of prickly hop too.

Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Amber with no head. A dud, this was sour and tart with lots of off notes. Little to recommend it.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2009 Cask handpull, Vin Quatre, Leicester. Buttered dog with strawberry jam and a cup of Darjeeling thrown at it aroma. Ruby with no head. Weird pleasant strawberry mice and iced tea flavour. Erm... Really confused.
