500ml bottles. Slightly veiled gold with a bilious white slick. Good jammy blackcurrant and pine aroma with crystallised lemon hints (mouldering strawberries and dung on the second bottle). Flowery and citrus hop (violet, orange, blackcurrant) leading into a crisp soapy finish. Cashew and crumble topping coming through in the aftertaste, just a dab of butter, rich tea, retronasal seawater. Sweet at the price- well worth £1.09 of anyone’s money (Hinckley B+M).

Brown 500ml bottle, best before Nov 11, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard Mar 11. As the name suggests, this is a golden coloured pale ale and looked fine with it’s initial full foaming white head. sadly the head fell away before I’d finished my first gulp of the beer. Citrus hop aroma, almost fruity too. The citrus in the small carries on nicely into the taste, this is a refreshing ale more than ale for strenght of flavours or depth of body parts. Taken in my back garden on a rare hot April afternoon, it hit the spot just right. I’ve had beers from these boys before, all fine so far.

500ml bottle. Pours dark gold with no head. Aroma is slightly sour grassy lemon hops and biscuit. Taste starts with some lemon, soapy grassy hop finish.
