Pours out of the bottle with a thin white head that creates a tidy ring of large bubbles. The hoppy aroma is very apparent and balanced by some sweet caramel malty and vanilla notes. Crisp, refreshing first taste. Bready, wheat flavours upfront, stays sweet through the sip. There is a hoppy, graasy character at the finish. Easy to drink.

Bottle shared with sarah picked up at ASDA. Clear golden / light amber coloured pour with a light white head. Aroma is nutty grains with a little honey, grassy hedgerow hop. Flavour is composed of nutty grains with a little brown sugar and hedgerow berry hop. Pretty ordinary bitter. Jam on toast. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation.

500 ml bottle from The Beer Store. Pours a very lightly cloudy golden colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is sweet, biscuity grains, grass and light floral note. Flavour has sweet, honeyed biscuit, bit of fruitiness, grass and some floral character with a bit of mineraliness in the finish. Solid character/body for the ABV. Nice.

Bottle from the Beer Store. Light and bright golden with a creamy white head. Aroma of slightly sweet cookie, a bit of honey, and subtle herbal hops. Flavour follows - well balanced between mellow malt and leafy hops with a touch of orange blossom. Light, refreshing body. Good session ale.

500 mL bottle. Golden-copper in colour, with a thick film of white head. Mild, malty aroma with a hint of herbal hops. The flavour is a little more grassy, with the hops leaning a little more toward lemon-lime citrus. Decent body for the abv - the Brits know how to do this better than us. Nice, sessionable beer.

Draught (Elm Tree, Cambridge)
Bland malty aroma. I guess. Dark straw. Brief loose head. Tastes of the same level of nothing as the aroma. Finish matches that non-event perfectly. Golden ale for someone who doesn’t want to taste his beer.

Crystal clear, pale gold, clean, dry and fairly bitter. No great aroma or taste, thin-bodied, some citrus but fairly forgetful. Not many late hops were sacrificed making this one.
