Cask handpull, SIBA Champions’ Fest 09. Nice sweaty Kentish aroma with background coffee. Unusually hoppy and red fruity for a mild. Dark headless ruby. Bramble and ripe fruit, hint of sour. Pretty decent I thought.

Cask Stillage at the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt, Liverpool 18/02/2004 Dark coloured and smooth on the palate. Some sour fruit flavours. Dry malt finish.

Deep oak colour - not the darkest mild. Roasty, with a measure of licorice and coffee plus a smidgen of fruit. Plenty of backbone and a dryish finish. Maybe a touch thin but a decent mild nonetheless. Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival, February 2005.
