Pleasant hoppy beer, too bad it’s a bit thin (when that final gush of yeast is approving the flavor you know it is), looks beautiful reddish brown though with a nice thick head.

CONCLUSION : une double au décompte très quelconque.

150 ml. draft @ De Proeverij. Deep copper, tanned head. Nose is metals & sweet cough syrup, a bit thin & iron-like. Taste is strongly herbal, very sweet cough syrup, iron tasting, candy, sweet Christmas spices, lightly soapy,… Body is a bit thin, iron-like with some cough syrup. Rather odd & a bit hard to drink but acceptable for a Belgian of its kind.

bonkiedeaap (644) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 5, 2015
Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is dark copper colored and pours a stable cream colored head, with livingly CO2. The aroma malty and sweet with notes of caramel and fruity and a hint of yeast. The taste is full bodied with again malty notes, and also sweet notes of dried fruits and caramel and in the end a little spicy bitterness is noticable. The finish is dry and light bitter with a hint of smoke.
