Bottle at Papsø. Hazy orange-red coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and berries. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel with notes of cherries. Fruity finish.

Almost black, large head, looks good. Roasted, rye, brown sugar, clove and cinnamon. Fine Belgian stout. Good bitterness from the roast and classic hops. But sweet too. Much better than expected. Reasonable alcohol too. (Bottle at De Fiere Margriet during Leuven house visiting)

Bottle. 6.5%. Best before 31.08.15. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a big tan head. Rather sweet aroma, with roasted, malty, fruity and melon (cantaloupe?) notes. Feels a bit unbalanced, but somehow works anyway. Flavour is sweet, roasted and fruity, with a hint of a metallic overtone. Feels a bit cloying. Roasted finish with a lingering grassy note. Overall okay, though a bit peculiar for the style. 20.06.15.

First taste @ home from bottle march ’12, and summertasting WBF ’13. Yesterday again from tap @ de Proeverij. Darkbrown color, with beige head. Aroma: light coffee, roated malts, sour touch. Medium body. Taste: softsweet, more roasted malts, coffee notes, bitterness. Good.

Look: pours pitch black with a very thick foam that does not fit into Duvel glass. The foam dissipated over few minutes Smell: Minerally smell which gives a hint brett, faint roasted grains Taste: creamy oaty maltiness with roasted/ coffee tones. an earthy hop bitterness that gives a hint of coco/chocolate. the bitterness lingers on the tongue. i am not sure whether "leathery note" i feel comes from brett. roast/bitterness seem to overwhelm this aspect. Feel: it feels dry on mouth Overall: this is a dry stout with Belgian twist. definitely lacks caramel notes that i expected. but this is OK. interesting, but brettiness does not seem to shine here.

330cc bottle. Pours reddish brown with beige thick head. Roared coffee and caramel. Dense and highly carbonated for a stout. realy dry and bitter but not hop bitterness. Tastes a bit "Belgic"

Bottle. Black beer, white head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste is dry and biter, with spicey oat and roasted coffee. Surprisingly good for a Belgian stout, I liked this one.

Bottle. It pours a dense, finger-thick beige head over a hazy, dark reddish brown body. It’s rather weak on the nose, with licorice doing most of the work. Some chocolate. It’s equally low on flavors, some licorice and chocolate, a little bitterness and not much else. Perhaps some roasted notes towards the finish. Medium to full body, a bit too much carbonation. Roasted finish with licorice. Quite boring, but flawless. 150314
