Swaroga (1247) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2013
33cl bottle. Hazy golden/orange with big head. NOSE : cereals, pine, soap, citrus zest, peach, green tea, butter bread. SIP : decent carbonation in this creamy ale. Medium body. Decent sweetness that evolves on a layer of soapy yeast. Gets a bit dry and acidic and finishes on citrus seed like, moderate bitterness. The aftertaste is herbal and little bit less bitter. OVERALL : a fresh and easy to drink beer. Nice malt character with well balanced bitterness to it. Aroma of hops and juniper are not overwhelming but well present, especially on the end.

Aroma has a yeasty background and a fruity tartness. Flavour is quite light but has a distinct fruity, perfume. Quite drying and bitter in the finish. Body is quite watery.

Bottle. Pinkish golden color. Malty, floral notes and juniper in the aroma. Thinnish. Citrus and juniper in the flavor. Soft floral notes. Not unpleasant.

Boekanier (54) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 20, 2013
Pours a golden colored with a white head that lasts. The best aspect of this beer in my opinion is its aroma; the juniper aroma comes off really nice and present. Moutfeel: mildly carbonated, disappears a bit. Interesting one.

330ml bottle (Tuulensuu, Tampere)
Freshly broken juniper needles. Resiny and oily. Some gingerbread. Even more needley in the taste, again full and freshly crushed. This is either a bit of a gimick, or itís pure genius, Iím not sure which.

mjs (4438) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 10, 2013
(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20130810) The beer poured golden and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had juniper, Belgian style yeast and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were juniper, fruitiness, yeast, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had juniper, fruitiness and bitterness. A lot of juniper but still the base beer wasnít hidden. The combination could have been more balanced but this one worked quite nicely, too.

Golden pour. Slim white head with plenty of lacing. Malty aroma with a slight pine aroma. Very woodsy and piney flavor. Bitter. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
