UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 One of my favorites. A crisp beer with the perfect bitter taste of a tripel, Nice palate and good color.

Bottle, 33 cl. (yesterday @ Spytigen Duvel) Golden color with a large white head. Aroma yeasts, sweet fruityand a little spicy. Medium to full body. Taste is good hopsbitterness, a bit sweet, fruity and a alcoholic touch. Finish is bitter. Aftertaste is bitter and dry. Good tripel.

A quirky but very interesting tripel--great color, a bit of spiciness and fruitiness balanced with a touch of acidity. Not as strong as most tripels at only 7.5, but an immensely flavorful brew.

Grapefruit and malty aroma. Golden color, large white head and ever lasting, very good lace. Sweet for a Tripel but not annoying. Citrus (mainly grapefruit but also some lemon), full, malty. Long lasting finish with a little alcohol burn. Too sweet for a Tripel but a beer I could and would drink all evening.

4 grains used: malted barley, malted wheat, common oat and corn. No sugar added. 7,5% alc vol. Brewers gold for bitterness and styrian for a fruity hoparoma. Nice foamy head.

Had a 2 year old bottle. a four-grain beer - wheat, barley, oats + ?? quite similar to tripel karmeliet. very perfumey - big banana yeasty smell. very pale with a beautiful big rocky head. very soft textured. but like karmeliet, it’s all a bit lollyish. slightly sickly pineapple esters get a bit much by the end of the glass.

Bottle at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. Looking nice in the glass, with a hazy, orange body and an off-white head. There was a lovely spiced aroma, with malt and some hops blending nicely in. Quite spiced for a tripel I think, but lovely. The spices weren’t that evident in the mouth, which also was nice, but more on the malty side, with pale malt and a fruity touch. Some hops giving bitterness as well. Effervescent, full-bodied mouthfeel, and a lasting, spiced and quite bitter finish. Yummy! (080410)

Cloudy yellow beer with a nice white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma. Flavour is yeasty, moderate sweet and light acidic with a full body. Good but not exceptionally. (Bottle 75cl)
