Cask at the Hand in Hand, Brighton on 26th August 2013. Amber with thin white lacing head. Richly hoppy aroma with fruity notes. Hoppy bitterness in-mouth and a lasting bitter finish. Excellent session bitter.

My Bottom Line:
This Golden Ale’s crunchy cereals evoke straw while leafy hops latch on to cushy residual sugars for a characterful pint.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy sheet of foam covers the amber-hued golden shine, producing tons of lacing.
-Dank leaves and straw make for a discreet but very engaging countryside character.
-The mouthfeel is never flat nor fizzy.
-I would see this being served at Middle Farm alongside their gravity casks of Harvey’s and Dark Star.
-The flavour profile is balanced.
-Both Kemptown brews I had this time around were very impressive.

On cask at The Hand in Hand, Brighton.

Cask/GD at the 14th Egham Beer Festival at the EUSC, 28/03/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Nose is sugars - slightly artificial in this respect, orange, citrus, light hops. Taste comprises hops, orange, citrus, dank bitter notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness and some sweetness in the finish. Ok.
