Pour is viscous and black, with a substantial dark tan lace - nose is all bittersweet dark chocolate and fresh mint leaves, along with a light bit of earthy char/roast - low carbonation - slick mouthfeel - flavor is intensely bitter and charred up front - far too much so - thankfully the dark chocolate and mint from the nose arrive later, but not until the bitterness has assaulted the palate - thankfully, the chocolate and mint are all that are present in the finish, so it ends on a strong note - decent, but the one unpleasant bit.

Bottle. Pours an incredibly dark brown with almost perfect opacity and a head like cappuccino. There is recognizable mint on the nose, as well as a deep, dark cocoa richness like bakerís chocolate. Intensely bitter, with definite dark chocolate notes; the mint shows up more on the finish as a cooling, herbal note. Texture is like motor oil, in a good way. Really really heavy and really really good.

12 oz. bottle. Got bottle in a trade, thanks Jason! Snifter shows a pitch black color with thin white head. Nice aroma that is similar to a York peppermint paddy. Taste has large amounts of fresh mint up front with bakerís chocolate and roasted malt in the middle of the sip. The finish is real sweet with chocolate and the mint again. The texture of this beer is incredible. Slick and smooth. Could be the smoothest mouthfeel Iíve ever had in a beer. Also, is this really 9.6% ??? Because I get no booze, anywhere. I really wish I had some Girl Scout Thin Mints because it would be a perfect match! Very nice after dinner/dessert brew.

Sampled Thanks to Carrie for picking this up for me! Pours a very dark The aroma is an amazing spot on version of andes minis. Great chocolate and mint candy. Flavor is not nearly as good. Extremely dark bitter chocolate. Earthy and dusty and dry.

$3.49-12 oz. brown bottle. Pours black. Aroma has chocolate and a touch of mint. The taste has roast, chocolate and the mint works really well with the chocolate and the malt. This is a great dessert beer. Almost reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream. A beer shake!

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thick black pour with nice tan head that lasts well, aroma brings notes of...thin mint. Literally. Some notes of chocolate, cookie, some nice mint, hints of coffee, slight earth, more mint and chocolate note, but this aroma is ridiculously like a thin mint. Taste is way better than I thought it would be, nice chocolate, rich with dark cocoa, mint, some nice cocoa nibs, almost a hershey bar type phenomenon with a cookie, mint background, finishing with fairly sweet, slightly dry. This is pretty damn impressive, and the best version of this style Iíve had by far.

Black with a super dense khaki head. Great lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, mint, and coffee. Taste is dark chocolate, caramel and mint. The mint starts off herbacious but becomes a more traditional mint flavor as it warms up. Tastes like thin mint cookie all together. Not too thick on the palate but silky. Very good.
