3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft 4oz taster. Aroma is mint and bittersweet chocolate, like a (cold) mint hot chocolate. Nearly black color with foamy tan head. Chalkiness on the palate immediately. Borderline harsh mint, bitterness, with chocolate in the finish. Big chocolate finish with lasting bitterness. Not nearly as sweet as the nose suggested. Full body, light carbonation, texture which is both oily and unpleasantly chalky. Overall: 4oz pour was just right -- a perfectly fine beer, but with a lot of richness that comes together in a way that I just donít know what place it holds for me.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pretty nice beer here. Aroma is mint, chocolate, dark fruits, light esspresso. Taste is medium sweet with great flavor but a bit too much hop bitterness on the end. This drinks like a sweet stout until the bitterness hits you. Still i really like this one.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Buckeye Beer Engine. Awesome beer! Extremely dark thick pour with a nice big brown head. Smells just like an Andies mint - chocolate and mint. Smooth fairly dense palate. Taste is cocoa powder/chocolate, sweet but not cloying. Excellent brew.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle as a local trade bonus- thanks again, Kevin! Pours a midnight, opaque dark brown color with a small dark tan head that dissipates pretty quickly into a tiny ring. The aroma has rich dark chocolate and spicy mint that almost comes across like cinnamon because of the combination of deep roastiness and herbal spiciness. Flavor of dark chocolate, mint, roasted malts, molasses, faint cream, and cocoa beans. Medium-full bodied, with a rich, bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Very nice.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Asahiya. When I poured it I thought to myself what a great looking beer. The mint was quite mild, mostly coming through in the aroma a bit and also a subtle bite in the aftertaste. It has a nice cocoa chocolate flavor, a roast malt goodness. I like it! It is nice to sip for dessert... I think I might try & pick up another to age it. As the beer warmed up the mint flavor started to come through more & became more pronounced. An interesting beer.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from trade with skycracksopen, thanks!
Black with a light brown head.
Aroma: After Eight.
Taste: After Eight, salty licorice, cocoa, coffee, lots of mint, light roast.
Wow, this is minty... I love this, but this is definitely not for everybody.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very hoppy nose with the mint chocolate coming through after. Smooth and rounded, perhaps a bit too much for mine. Chocolate, sweet mint - almost like toothpaste; with a pretty hoppy finish. Not particularly sweet, but the mint is quite prevalent. Nice, but nothing outstanding.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Serving: four ounce sampler from tap at The Beer Junction.
Aroma: moderate, chocolate-mint aroma.
Appearance: average-sized, creamy, brown, initial head with excellent lacing and mostly lasting longevity. Dark brown/black body.
Taste: moderately sweet, chocolate mint, initial flavor and moderately sweet finish with average duration.
Palate: full body, oily texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: this was surprisingly good. I would certainly drink it again, but Iím afraid that finishing an entire 16 ounce glass may be difficult due to the sweetness.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at The Beer Junction. This was an interesting one -- definitely unlike any other beer Iíve had. The flavor reminded me of a trufflemint shake from Red Mill -- dark chocolate (and lots of it), with a strong presence from the mint -- and those two flavors really overshadowed whatever else was in here (maybe a bit of molasses/dark roasted malt). If you were going to drink a beer for dessert, and you like mint chocolate, this would be a great choice. But aside from the novelty, Iím not sure it had a whole lot going for it.

(12oz bottle) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, mint, caramel, toffee, and graham cracker. Flavor of chocolate, mint, roasted malt, and light vanilla. Very much like liquid Girl Stout Thin Mint cookies.
