At a tasting, thanks YK23, pours brown to black with a medium tan head, aroma of roasted coffee, burnt coffee, wood, vanilla, intense acidity and alcohol warmth, flavor of roast, sour cherries, nuts, wood and charcoal, quite perfumy, medium to full body, real nice one.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Yuval. Black with a beige head. Aroma of coffee beans, nuts and light fruity hints. Sweet-sourish flavor of roasted malt, green coffee beans, a bit of nuts, a bit of alcohol, woody hints, herbal and fruity hints and a bit more bitterness in the finish. Strange but not bad.

"itís rare when a beer youíve built up exceeds expectations, and since Stone is my favorite brewer, hopes were sky high for this one. not to worry, though, it did not disappoint. one of the best, if not THE best, porter that iíve ever had. the aroma was incredibly rich and decadent. coffee, chocolate, roasted malt...with flavor to match and a wonderfully smooth full body. Awesome, awesome, awesome beer!"

At a tasting, thanks yk23, smallish head, very dark brown colour, almost opaque, roasted almost burned coffee aroma, mollases and dark old honey, sour flavour of green coffee, barnyard and a touch of soy, not to big bodied. Original and excellent.

Bottle: Dark black color with a nice tan head. The nose is roasty with a thick residual amount of coffee and fruit. Not getting as much coconut or macadamian nuts, but I love the concept and they have their place as placebo placeholders on the label anyway. Full bodied and very complex, easy to quaff and easier still to drink. I need to get me a couple more of these.

(12 oz bottle). Pours almost black with 1" tan head. Aroma of dark roasted coffee, chocolate and nuts. Dark cherries also? Taste is sweet with slight burnt dryness/bitterness following. Yummy! Medium bodied with a creamy/oily texture. Finish has some bitterness, but it is mostly a dry roasted coffee bitterness. Iíve come to realize how much I like these coffee porters/stouts. This would make a good beer on a football sunday, after real coffee, and during preparation of brunch/lunch before the games.

Deep black pour with a thick tan head. The nose is a bit odd Ė sort of a bit of tartness on the nose as well as a light coconut character. Softly roasty flavour with a pronounced coffee character. Light sweet cocoa over a toasted malt sweetness. A bit of earthiness Ė canít say Iím a huge fan.

12 oz bottle Ė Gingerman Ė NYC. Deep black, thick tan head. Nutty earth and coffee nose swirls over currents of toasted coconut throughout. Earthed- coffee and nutty coconut flavors round well with a light berry tone and a slap of Stone hop bitterness. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, coffee-nut finish. I would drink six packs of this brew anytime of the year. A great collaborationÖ

Bottle Thanks to JohnGalt. Pours out almost black topped with a tan head. Aroma was very nice toasted coconuts, coffee, and light sweetness. Taste more of the coffee and roasted coconut. It also had a little milk chocolate taste. I was pumped when Toby pulled this one out, I had been wanting to try this from the first day I heard about it. Thanks buddy.

Pours dark brownish black. Has rich aromas of coffee, chocolate, and nuts. Flavor is a mixture of coffee and chocolate at first and finishes with a touch of nuts and coconuts.
