Nose is pretty fantastic - bitter roasted coffe and dried coconut flakes with what smells more like hazelnut than macadamia. Flavor, sadly, doesnt measure up to the nose. Significant roasted coffee, just barely hints of the coconut and a decent amount of alcohol heat. Smelled nice - was fairly pedestrian after that. Good - but not $7/12oz good.

Thanks to emacgee for sharing. This pours nice and dark with smallish beige head. Nose like a candy bar... chocolate, nuts, some roasted coconut. Really lovely. Tastes pretty good, but it’s salty as hell, which made me really only want a few sips from it. Those few sips, though, were lovely.

Bottled. Deep brown color, semi-clear edges. Not much head on the pour, medium carbonation. Aroma is mainly chocolate and coffee grounds, with a bit of metallic funk to it. Not sure if I served it too warm or not. Flavor is one-dimensional, bitter coffee with light coconut flavor. Reminds me of a weakened flavor version of Maui Coconut Porter, hmm I wonder why... Somewhat bitter with lasting notes of smoke and peat. Thin body. I’ll stick with the regular Coconut Porter.

12oz bottle @Paul’s Gathering Thanks MaxxDaddy. This is where my notes become sloppier... Black pour with some dark tan head. Chocolate, coffee, nutty (macadedia?). Flavor is chocolate, nuts and coffee and possibly a hint of coconut but could use more. Nice collaborator.

Shared by emacgee. Roast upfront, some coconut, and then a little tart/ sour character at the end. Just okay.

Shared by ketchepillar! Pours a nice deep black with a small head that leaves some lace. The aroma is fresh coffee with some smoke and chocolate and a little nuttiness in there as well. The flavor has lots of coffee and fruitiness, but the coffee is actually less dominant than it is in the aroma. Everything in this beer is pretty gosh darned perfectly balanced with some smokiness, some nuttiness, some dark chocolate, and the trace of coconut that shows up.

12oz bottle: Appearance is pitch black with quick fading brown head, Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt, Flavor strong with coffee up front hints of chocolate and roasted malt. I am not a coffee drinker but this isn’t too bad, but Stone needs to put quite a bit more into this one if they want to match the Speedway Stout.

Bottle. Ruby-mahogony beer with a tan head. Big coffee aroma with light sweetness. Coffee and sweet malt flavor with some nuttiness. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Sweet malt and light coffee lingers.

Bottle, thanks to alexanderj. black pour, a little bit of cream colored head. Aroma is coffee, sweeter black licorice, a little nuttiness and roasted malt. Flavor is the same, sweet from what tastes like molasses and with rich bitterness from the roast and coffee. Nice beer overall.
