Kennebunkport Porter

From a 12 oz bottle purchased locally from Trader Joe’s. Aroma is dark chocolate with a little molasses and maybe some licorice. Color is a brown/deep ruby red with a small tan head that laces nicely. Flavor is toasty fairly dry with the bitterness balancing the malt. Not too much roast character. Not too heavy. Finish is dry and toasty. A pretty good, easy drinking porter.

Not much aroma. Tons of head; dark brown and quite roasty, a little malty. I found this to be pretty enjoyable, drinkable. A great finish.

Thanks Tim baby! Good dark color with a shallow head but very retentive. Decent lacing. Aromas of baked brownies and dark cocoa, nice. Medium nectar w/ good carbonation. A moderate roast component delivers roasted coffee bean and dark cocoa flavors. Brownie bread, vanilla, and a nice snappy hop profile add to the complexities. The finish bitters up nicely while the flavors linger. This is a nice beer.

Aroma – Big roasty malt aroma with lingering hints of toffee and coffee.
Appearance – Dark Brown in color, light head and clear.
Flavor – Dark malt flavor with hints of smokeyness and tads of coffee and toffee.
Palate – Great porter Mouthfeel, Good texture with a nice dry finish.
Overall – I was impressed with this beer had a smoked porter flavor to it and was wow pretty darn good.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours clear brown with an average frothy light brown head that was diminished quickly with fair lacing. Moderate roasted coffee nutty aroma. Medium body. Balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of an average duration. Drinkable below average porter.
