Bottle from Trader Joe's. dark pour with a small white head. Aroma is vanilla, light, and toasty. Taste is lots of vanilla, spice, chocolate, and cinnamon.

The aroma smells like a box of raisins, with a bit of an earthy, kind of muddy smell. Not necessarily bad, but not wonderful. Its almost black, with a thin tan head. It tastes pretty good, but a bit thin. Its got plenty of chocolate up front with a pleasant-but-nondescript hop flavor that lingers. A decent porter for the price, but Id probably sooner pay a little more for more quality.

A black body with a tan head. Aroma had a robust coffee presence initially. Hints of chocolate and mild licorice. Flavor seemed to be mostly coffee malts. There was some sweetness to it. Almost one dimensional. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with an expiration clip-off date of November 2014. The look is its best feature as it comes in with an amber brown quality and modest tan head. The aroma does have some caramel malt qualities to it but there is also a melted butter-olive oil kind of greasiness to the nose that I cannot quite define. Small hop note. The body is about medium. The taste also brings out that buttery character which tends to overwhelm the sweet malt start and the bitter hop finale.

$1.00 exactly for the 12 oz. bottle purchased from Trader Joes (Portsmouth) earlier today. To tasting snifter, it pours a ruby-tinted dirty brown with which shrinking suds and bubbles tried showing support by appearing briefly on top. Aromas of DME, mulch, nail polish, and tin. Tastes the same with the addition of salted caramel, wet cardboard, and vitamins. Meh. I just needed rate: Kennebunkport has never done anything for me.

Black, basic molasses aroma and a bit thin for a porter. OK drinkability. Note to self: Extra in trade or maybe I bought this a while back in Maine.

1/26/14. 12oz bottle from Trader Joes in Tallahassee. Black pour with a small tan head. Weird aroma, butterscotch, chocolate, dusty yeastiness, musty, metal. Weird flavor as well, bitter dark chocolate, butterscotch, mild coffee, breadiness, biscuits, metal. Meh.

Decent if somewhat underwhelming porter that was a bargain at tjs. Their beer tends to be decent value but nothing I would seek out a second time. Pours a deep brown/almost black color but somewhat thin. Not much of a head or retention and tastes of chocolate and coffee and malt. Not much hippiness. Totally average and sessionable

355mL thanks to Dedicatedtofun! Clear deep red pour. Low foam. Nose is more Belgian strong ale with diacetyl, sweet cherry juice box, cola, vanilla. Taste is slick diacetyl, cheap cherry chocolate. Palate is slick diacetyl.

Not much of a porter. More like a brown ale. But even if I was too rate it as a brown ale it wouldnt rate very well.
