A good, refreshing seasonal ale. I love pumpkin pie, so I enjoy the cinnamon & allspice flavor. Only like it around the holidays, but when I’m in the mood for it, it really hits the spot.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy straw yellow with a medium fizzy white head that quickly goes to a thin collar.

The aroma is pumpkin spices - nutmeg and cinnamon over some bready malts.

The flavor is sweet malts with a ton of pumpkin spices - nutmeg, cinnamon and some pepper. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low, but spritzy, carbonation.

Overall, a bit of a spice bomb - not at all subtle over the smaller beer. But I enjoyed it.

hazy appearance, very sour on palate, bitter aftertaste. a bit heavy with the pumpkin, so much so it is hard to taste the beer behind it.

Light in color and flavor and lacking pumpkin or spice flavor. Not all that impressive overall with little head on the pour.

bottle from Dean, pretty light for a pumpkin beer, almost yellow orange in color , soft balanced spice and pumpkin flavors and aroma, pretty good light holiday beer

12 oz bottle served in a Deschutes snifter. I found this bottle in my parent’s fridge and no one knows how it got there. A: Pours a clear amber color with with thick white head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly, but no lace is left behind. S: Pumpkin flesh, lager yeast and notes of pale malt with some light cinnamon. A littler mineral water as well. T: Old/rotting pumpkin flesh. Some mettalic/tin like tastes and then a huge rush of cinnamon. It’s like chewing on a cinnamon stick. M: Light bodied, standard carbonation and drinkability. O: Wasn’t terrible, but definitely over spiced and the mineral water flavors weren’t a turn on. Will not revisit. Serving type: bottle

Only 10 ratings for a Trader Joe’s cheap-yet-good? I’m kinda impressed with the pumpkin in this one. It has a great presence and a bit of ’pie’ taste to it. Pretty much all about the pumpkin, so a bit simple. Clean malt, very mild hops. A squash showcase! So that is, what it is. This easily surpassed my expectations.

A hazy yellow-gold color with small white head. Vegetal spice aroma. Taste - Pumpkin pie - what else? Cinnamon, buttery pumpkin, ginger and sweet malt. Crisp and refreshing. Lighter bodied than most pumpkin ales. Nice taste and surpisingly good overall.

12oz bottle pours a hazy orange with some hazy white head. Nose is almost not there, cardboard, honey, malt, light spice. Flavor is better, sweet, root vegetables, some spice, some ginger, some nutmeg, very faint vanilla. Watery finish. Drinkable, but definitely not the best Pumpkin beer out there.
