Cask handpull, The Ivy Leaf, Dartford, Kent, 20/04/13. Half of Pops MacDrunkeasy’s pint necked in seconds. Brilliant straw piled unevenly with foam. Nose passion fruit and lemon zest. Passion fruit, curry leaf, limey hop zip with a sweet biscuit and peanut malt base. Massive relief after the crap up the road.

On tap at CDC Clerkenwell. Light gold body with small head. Hoppy nose. taste is hops, citrus and fruits. Nice creamy and easy going texture. Cheeky in the bitter finish!

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear yellow with a tight, white cream head. Dry hay nose, light grass and crackery pale malts. Light sweet flavor with lots of crackers ad biscuits, dry hay. Straw, light grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great condition. Crisp, clean finish, plenty more dry, crackery malts, bitter hay, light dirt, some fresh grass, biscuits. Just a really, really well rounded golden ale. Actually picks up speed as you work your way through it.

Cask-conditioned at the Kent Beeriodical, the Seven Stars Bristol February 2012. Pale gold with a decent white head. Aroma of lemon fruit, slightly creamy malts and grassy hops. Flavour had more citrus fruit, a hint if sulphur and moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 Gold in colour with white head, good clarity. Hoppy & bitter but not overly bitter, a little softness and with a nice seam of lemonyness throughout. Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Fest ’12. Gold with white head. There is a touch of sulpher on the nose, slightly farmy, but this leads to a crisp hoppy, lemony loveliness. Dry, zingy hops dominate, lasting on the palate on a light maltiness. A little belter.

Cask - The Southampton Arms, London. 4%. Poured with a fine, lasting & lacing white head atop a bright, clear yellow body. Lemon, hints of sulphur, subtle toasted malts and a bready yeast note on the aroma. Biscuity, bready & yeasty with toasty malts, dry lemon citrus and lime comprising the flavour profile. Light to medium body, lightly spritzy carbonation. A toasty, citric pale with good length to the finish. Crisp, refreshing with a decent pale malt backbone.
