COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Ale is a marriage between two classic beer styles, Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale. The Kentucky Ale mashing program uses: • the finest 2-row imported Harrington malt, • select caramel malt varieties grown both domestically and abroad, • a pinch of wheat malt for a smooth, creamy taste. Varieties of the English hops East Kent Goldings and Fuggles impart a spicy yet soft, floral aroma without a harsh, bitter aftertaste. These ale hops are used to balance the sweetness of the malt and are an important flavor component of Kentucky Ale. Light copper in color, the unique body and character of Kentucky Ale is heavily influenced by the water, drawn from aquifers in the limestone underlying the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky.

Light copper colored beer with a thin, white head. Aromas of apples, and grains. Tastes of some muted apple cider-like notes, barley, and hints of sweet caramel. Sweet finish. Very drinkable, and quite enjoyable beer.

355 ml. Beautiful clear copper with a half-inch of creamy meringue above. Faint nose of dry grain and caramel. Taste is toasted nut, spicy caramel, sourish grain and a hint of gunmetal. Medium body is smooth and well-balanced.

Bottle in Charlie Brown’s. Caramel malty taste. Not exactly watery, but not quite "light bodied" either. Very slight hops bitterness. Decently mediocre. Preferably in large quantities.

Bottle. Clear light amber color, diminishing off white head. Caramel malt aroma, some spicy hops if any. Oxidation cardboard flavor is overwhelming. This bottle is likely old and mistreated.

Golden amber color with a persistent light head and a small amount of lacing. Very nice marriage between caramel malt and light hops. It has the taste and palate of an unpretentious Fullers ESB. Surprisingly good.
