May 4, 2005 Bottle. Poured a dark amber with an average rocky white head that lasted the majority of the brew. Average hoppy aroma. Medium body and average flavor with a medium bitter at finish. Good ale.

Mar 10, 2005 Very, very cold from store cooler. Amber with very little head retention. Aroma smells a bit like iron. Only the slightest malt flavor balanced with a slight hops flavor. Finishes a little macro swill like. It is slightly better that most macro swill, likely by intention. Nothing offensive, nothing exciting; a near perfect 2.5.

Jan 29, 2005 Reddish amber with a standard slippery head. The aroma is vaguely malt or caramel. The flavor started with an unexpected tartness, followed with a sweet tangy finish.

Dec 30, 2004 Pours a white, one-fingered head, fades quickly and leaves some lace. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Clear amber color. Light malt nose. Starts with a mix of hops and sweetness and finishes smooth like the brewer says - no bitter aftertaste. $1.25 for a 12oz bottle from Liquor Barn Lexington, KY.

Dec 24, 2004 12oz bottle. Copper color, negligable head. Light malty nose...some toasty and bread. Mellow malty flavor. Light/thin body. Sligh suggestion of hops in the finish and a slight touch of fruitiness. Not half good. Certainly doesn’t fulfill my taste for robust ales. Not one I’ll need to revisit.

Musty malt aroma reminds me of a damp basement.
Not really much flavor going on either good or bad, melded with a watery palate make this a forgettable brew.

Nov 20, 2004 Discovered on a recent hunting trip to Kentucky. A ratehr ordinary brew for someone who wants to say they like micros’s but want it to taste very mainstream. I found it musty and sweet
