3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Appearance: gorgeous bright caramel with a small white head. Aroma: mild on the bourbon (which is good) a little woody too with a nice maltiness. Flavour: muted bourbon (again good) with a great caramel and malt flavour, a hint of coriander with a pleasing woody finish. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle into pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a small white head and leaves a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is very strong caramel malts up front with bread and hops coming in a little more subdued behind it. Taste is also dominated by the caramel malts. Not a bad thing by any means. Also a solid nutty taste that comes through very well, backed by a bit of bread, candy, and fruity undertones here too with the slightest hint of cinnamon in the background. Long finish of maltiness that is sweet, somewhat bitter and slightly sour. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall this is crisp and a lot more flavorful than expected. Very, very nice! Better than the overall and style scores would lead you to believe.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Copper pour with a 1 finger, creamy, white head. Aroma is caramel, bready and fruity yeast, citrus, planty, spicy and floral hops and some light, sweet vegetal notes. Flavor is caramel, fruity yeast, planty hops, stronger vegetal notes, dishwater-like note that I usually only get from Wheat Ales, some nice spicy hops and sweet hay to the finish. Light, slick body with a medium strength, slightly sharp carbonation. It definitely has some off notes, but overall, not that bad as far as Amber Ales go.

Great ale made by a local brewery for me! I've tried this and their Bourbon Barrel variant and both are amazing brews!

Bright clear amber beer, tidy white head. Light dry palate, a little crisp. Creamy lactose pale malt, semi sweet. Whisper of citrus, well buried. Dry finish. Pretty one dimensional lactose beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
355 ml bottle at Bishop’s Arms Plaza, Västra Hamngatan, Göteborg. On February 15, 2013.
Clear golden color, off-white head that dies very fast. Sweet, corn, grainy scent. Fruity, sweet, some apricots, sugary taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Corn, sugary, sweet aftertaste.
Sort of bland, not much character, I don’t type it very often, but wouldn’t hurt with more influence from the hops.
