COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first brew produced by Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co, Kentucky Ale® is described as a marriage between two classic beer styles, Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale. With a light amber color, Kentucky Ale owes its body and character to select imported malts and a pinch of wheat malt for a rich, smooth taste. This brew is placed into bourbon barrels to make the brewery’s flagship Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale®.

The aroma is hop dominate. A clear copper pur with a non-lasting thin white head no lacing. The taste is a combination of citrus and sweetness. Corn mild, not bitter at all. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, not great, but would be a nice simmer session brew.

Bottle. Amber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel and some stewed fruits. Lowish carbonation. Sweet with caramel and some vague fruit, some pepper emerges in finish that’s low on bitterness but just leans towards dry. No good.
