Commercial Description:
Kentucky Ale is a marriage between two classic beer styles, Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale. The Kentucky Ale mashing program uses: • the finest 2-row imported Harrington malt, • select caramel malt varieties grown both domestically and abroad, • a pinch of wheat malt for a smooth, creamy taste. Varieties of the English hops East Kent Goldings and Fuggles impart a spicy yet soft, floral aroma without a harsh, bitter aftertaste. These ale hops are used to balance the sweetness of the malt and are an important flavor component of Kentucky Ale. Light copper in color, the unique body and character of Kentucky Ale is heavily influenced by the water, drawn from aquifers in the limestone underlying the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky.

This poured a very pale amber body with lazy bubbling and a slender white head. It’s got a fruity nose, berries & cherries, along with some light caramel scents. The taste is fruity as well, the malts become grainy, and a honey sweetness is added. Crisp, berry finish with the lightest touch of bitterness at the very end. Okay.

12oz bottle given to me by weeare138 (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, floral, fruity and also has a earthy/dirtiness to it. Tastes of caramel, fruity, and citrus. Has a honey sweetness to it.

This amber ale pours a light orange color from a 12oz bottle. Medium to small sized white foamy head. Aroma is slightly malty, caramel, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied amber ale. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Kind of a typical amber ale, it is kind of sweet, mild tasting and a touch watery. Besides that… Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Orange amber beer with white head. The aroma was a sweet odor of malt. Sour at first to the tongue but finishes with a nice malt finish.

Orange-ush amber, clear body.. THe head was a light foamy thing that disipated quickly. The aroma definiatly has the carmalized malt present, there is also a sweet fuity hint there. The flavor is pretty heavy, somewhat syrupy. The marmalized malrs are not as present in the flavor as in the aroma. This beer has a lot of character, and a clean finish.

Copper color, negligable head. Light malty nose...some toasty and bread. Mellow malty flavor. Light/thin body. Sligh suggestion of hops in the finish and a slight touch of fruitiness. beer is close to swill quality

Shiny auburn colour with a solid off-white head. The nose is slightly citrusy with a little fruit and a hint of hops to come. The hops don’t follow into the body, instead, the body is fairly sweet with a candyish slightly phenolic character. Not enough bitterness to be redeemed.
