Commercial Description:
Kentucky Ale is a marriage between two classic beer styles, Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale. The Kentucky Ale mashing program uses: • the finest 2-row imported Harrington malt, • select caramel malt varieties grown both domestically and abroad, • a pinch of wheat malt for a smooth, creamy taste. Varieties of the English hops East Kent Goldings and Fuggles impart a spicy yet soft, floral aroma without a harsh, bitter aftertaste. These ale hops are used to balance the sweetness of the malt and are an important flavor component of Kentucky Ale. Light copper in color, the unique body and character of Kentucky Ale is heavily influenced by the water, drawn from aquifers in the limestone underlying the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky.

12 oz bottle. Classic yellow beer appearance, honey-corn nose with a light sweet finish. Not great but better than Budweiser.

Let me start by saying, there is a very long commericial desciption for this beer when all they needed to say was horse pee. Aroma is malts, light hops and corn syrup. Appeaance is red / gold. Fine sticky head. Flavor is watery, and floral, kind of like the water that was in your grandmothers flower vase after a couple of weeks. Finish is dull and boring.

Orange-ush amber, clear body.. THe head was a light foamy thing that disipated quickly. The aroma definiatly has the carmalized malt present, there is also a sweet fuity hint there. The flavor is pretty heavy, somewhat syrupy. The marmalized malrs are not as present in the flavor as in the aroma. This beer has a lot of character, and a clean finish.

Orang color with a small but lasting head. soft aroma of caramel. Flavor is mild and mostly sweet although you can descern some hop at the very end. Nothing exception to brag about, but a decent beer and inexpensive.

I am going to try this again, and re-rate it. I want to see if I had a bad bottle. This had a weird taste, it had some sort of flavor but it wasn’t good. It’s basically a lightish beer which I didn’t finish.

12 oz. bottle: Pours darker orange with little to no head. Aromas are very light, hard to pick up the faint caramel malt, some light grassiness as well. Flavor is grainy, but so very light. Where are the hops? Better than most macros, but that isn’t saying much.

This beer pours yellow with a small white head and the aroma of your average pilsner with a hint of caramel. The taste is fairly run of the mill for a beer of its type, but I like it because it's brewed here in my hometown.
