COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Ale is a marriage between two classic beer styles, Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale. The Kentucky Ale mashing program uses: • the finest 2-row imported Harrington malt, • select caramel malt varieties grown both domestically and abroad, • a pinch of wheat malt for a smooth, creamy taste. Varieties of the English hops East Kent Goldings and Fuggles impart a spicy yet soft, floral aroma without a harsh, bitter aftertaste. These ale hops are used to balance the sweetness of the malt and are an important flavor component of Kentucky Ale. Light copper in color, the unique body and character of Kentucky Ale is heavily influenced by the water, drawn from aquifers in the limestone underlying the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky.

355ml Bottle at the Hilton in Lexington Kentucky. Pours a clear amber with a thin head and no lacing. Almost no aroma. Light hints of malt and carmel. Thin mouthfeel and somewhat over-carbonated. Up front is mild malt sweetness and a hint of hops. Very little hop character. The malt flavors come thru in the taste but in a diluted and particularly boring way. The finish has a very slight hop bitterness but is faint and dissipates quickly. Very average undistinguished beer that has the saving grace of being unoffensive and drinkable. The beer is a C-minus. Drink only if it's a hot summer day and your only alternative is one of the macro-brew lite beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a hazy amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of straw and malt. The taste was sweet with notes of malt, caramel and straw, leading to a dry finish.

Drank on draft from the Local Spot in the Cincinnati Airport -- Not much to say honestly. Tasted like a Light American Lager. Nothing special at all. This beer didn’t even make me want me to order something better. Just apathy all around.

12oz bottle. Aroma is slightly skunky with some malt? Appearance is a light copper. Taste is very bland. A very drinkable beer, but there is just not much to it. Overall, a miller lite has more flavor, which is sad, cause I want to like this brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber pour. Looks good. Bread dough and malt nose with a touch of sweet toffee. Well balanced. More malt and caramel but not too sweet. Nice finish.

Bottle shared by my father in law. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor has moderately sweet malt, light caramel, light florals and grass . Soft on the palate, very smooth. Just not much at all to write about with this.
