COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale™ With a little creative curiosity, we used spent bourbon casks, fresh from decanting, and filled them with our very own Kentucky Ale. From barrels that once held the finest bourbons of Kentucky, we present Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, a smooth, golden elixir unlike any other. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. We attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the “angel’s share”. Elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted Kentucky bourbon.

Wow great beer. Most likely not for everyone. First thought someone put a little bourbon in my beer. But the flavor is really good. I would say if you like Jack, Jim or a few of the other famous guys from the south you will really enjoy this beer. If you do not know these guys might not be the beer for you. If you are out try one, pass on a shot and just enjoy this fine beer by itself.

Poured a clouded amber with a slight head which disappeared quickly. Aroma of flowery malt. Taste is of a sour mash, and dried out leaving no sweetness. Mouthfeel is so thin with a taste of metal on the back end.

Poured a clear slightly reddish color with a small white head. Aroma of bourbon and apples. Taste is sweet and crisp with oak and bourbon. Some caramel and other malty flavors. Maybe a bit too sweet. Very drinkable and smooth for 8%. Not bad at all, I’d drink this again.

Clear amber, most soda like head ever Smells like a shoe Tastes of sweet adjunct Thin Overall a weak beer. Bud drinkers would enjoy this as a heavier alternative.

From a growler. Light brown on the pour. For a Bourbon drinker the Bourbon absolutely came through in the aroma and flavor. Not really my cup of tea.

A bit too sweet for my taste, but nice character and malty character in balance with an effervescent mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On the way home, stopped in Lexington, KY for a bourbon tour. The upscale burger restaurant named BRU had a great beer list. I wanted a bourbon barreled beer and this local beer hit the mark. Great colour, nose and taste. Enjoy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Couleur caramel translucide, relativement plate, quasi pas de mousse. Nez boisé, caramel, alcool, raisin sec. Bouche sucrée (trop) et alcoolisée, le caramel, petit côté boisé. Corps moyen, carbonation nulle. Pas formidable ...
