3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Interesting beer. Pours a very bourbon like orange color, with a white head. Smells sweet and roasted. Definitely has a whiskey taste, very sweet and malty, and alcoholic. Not bad, but won't have again.

Very unusual. Transparent penny copper with a thin white ring for a head. The bourbon and vanilla permeate the nose. Medium bodied, it has the mouthfeel of an amber ale, but shows the barrel character. A nice sipper, but a really clipped finish.

12oz bottle pours a clear amber color. Sweet honey aroma. Tastes of vanilla & light honey but finishes very medicinal and watered down. Tastes like someone left a sip of cheap bourbon with a few cubes of well water. The next day you wake up and finish off the glass. Not good.

On tap. Pours an amber gold with a thick khaki cap. Nose of caramel and light bourbon, with plenty of wood, some vanilla and buttery toffee notes. Taste is fairly sweet but also bitter. Palate is lighter, actively carbonated, with a distinctive bourbon-laden finish. The base beer features the bourbon very well, if leaving one wanting for a slightly more powerful nose. Still, a decent ale that drinks easier than its ABV suggests.

Bottle. Oaky bourbon, caramel malt, and a vanilla aroma. Clear copper with a small beige head. Vanilla, oak, plum, caramel, and bourbon flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation. Normally, I’m not a bourbon fan, but I really liked this beer.

Buttery is the best way to describe this beer. It I like drinking a butterscotch ale. Very good and extremely potent. Beware, there is such a truth to the saying "too much of a good thing"

Draught at Ginger Man, NYC. Clear copper/golden beer with an offwhite head. Malty caramel aroma, toffee, candy, vanilla notes, some bourbon. Bourbon flavor, lots of vanilla, oak, fruity, rather sweet, some toffee. Bourbon finish with vanilla and oak notes.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a syrupy wooded golden-copper with an off-white head two-to-three fingers in length. Sinks gradually. Smells strongly of artificial vanilla/vanillin, tree bark, cream soda and some cognac and whiskey heat, but nothing to indicate this has hops. Tastes stronger of caramel malts, ash, that barely drinkable vanillin compound, corn syrup, expired bourbon and animal sauce. It had tasted mainly of flavor-injected chemicals used to cheapen the expenses of labor. Also, where were the hops?

Draft at Sweet Grass Dairy. LIght copper pour with a foamy white head. Nose is vanilla, caramel, booze and oak. Taste is sweet vanilla and malt throughout with a boozy finish. Not that memorable.

Quite surprised by this, golden color expecting a darker hue, but not present, slight head. Nose..booze, vanilla, faint oak..taste really reminds me of a cream soda, albeit an adult version. Interesting mouthfeel and the abv makes itself known, however nothing really is memorable..Ok
