COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Award-winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Aleģ is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Aleģ is aged for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentuckyís finest distilleries. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after-dinner drink. Launched in 2006, it has grown to become the flagship beer of the premier name in barrel-aged beers: Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company.

Nice orangy golden light brown, tiny off white head. Aroma wood, vanilla, alcohol. Full body and a little syrupy although not too sweet. Flavor is oaky and indeed like bourbon maybe a little too much so. Different for sure and not really bad but donít think I would get it again.

Basically a vanilla bourbon barrel soda. Quality barrel flavor... over nothing else, tons of toasted coconut in the aroma and flavor. Tasty, just odd, thin, well carbonated...

Is it possible for it too be too bourboney? Strong aroma and flavor of bourbon. Better than expected.

Bottle. Pours surprisingly light and clear, with a medium white head. Aroma is faint - sweet malts, with a hint of dark fruit. The flavor is also surprisingly muted, a little bit bready with a nice vanilla sweetness. Not much bourbon comes through, although a bit of oakiness is there. Itís an easy sipper that hides its ABV well, but also kind of dull.

Has a light wood/toffee scent. Pours a nice amber with a dissolving head. Has a nice bourbon flavor, has a decent sweetness to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice beer. The bourbon barrel gives it a unique flavor. Lightly sweet with some wood and bourbon. More beer please...

Little to no head or aroma. Slight caramel and malt on the aroma. Light pale straw color body. Alcohol immediately noticeable, caramel, butterscotch, bourbon flavored. Nicely complex mouthfeel and aroma.

Bottle - pours light clear brown with a medium head that transforms into a steady ring around the glass (a snifter in this case). Has a strong bourbon smell even from a distance. Not terrible, but it tastes like watered down bourbon. Definitely a sipper.

Red amber pour with hardly any head. Aroma of bourbon & vanilla. Taste is heavy on vanilla, oak & bourbon. Mouth is pretty light. Completely clear in appearance. Leaves your mouth tingly. Iím not sure Iíd call this a beer, but it isnít too bad.
