2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
À la manière de la Innis and Gunn, une ale sans personnalité sinon ce que le bourbon lui apporte. Vanille, caramel rehaussent légèrement son corps plutôt mince. Facile à boire cependant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear amber, small coarse head. Evident bourbon/vanilla aroma. Sweet and buttery with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Mild with lasting flavours of caramel and bourbon. Low bitterness.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a transparent copper, thin white head. Aroma is faint with all of the following: vanilla, Bourbon, wood, maybe caramel. The taste is of vanilla and Bourbon, but where this beer loses me completely is the aftertaste. You’re left with a corn-type linger which is too eerily similar to some macro swill. Just can’t get past it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, medium copper color with a thin white head. Interesting aroma of cherry, bourbon, vanilla, and oak. The aroma slightly reminds me of New Glarus Enigma just not as strong. Medium mouthfeel with carbonation. Banana is the first flavor that comes to mind in this one followed by some bourbon notes like a watered down whiskey and coke. Lingers with a slight sweet bitterness. Taken as is the beer isn’t terrible but I’m not sold on this being anything great either. On the plus side, I think the booze is fairly well hidden. Curious how long this spent in bourbon casks. Oaked Arrogant Bastard slays this beer hands down.

Pours light amber with tiny white head. Aroma is bourbon and maybe a bit of caramel. Taste is watered down bourbon. I like beer and I like bourbon, but this just isn’t sure which it wants to be.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draft at Mews Tavern - Wakefield, RI. Three times, I ordered the Firestone Walker Double Jack and three times the waitress brought me this beer. Fortunately, my fiancee likes bourbon and enjoyed what appears to be a very bland strong ale with bourbon poured into. Not a lot of barrel char or toast. Just warming malty ale with bourbon added. Bourbony, but entirely one-dimensional.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
12oz bottle pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma smells like a watered down shot of Bourbon poured into a cider. Definitely can taste that is aged in Bourbon barrels, seems more like a cream ale, but really it just tastes like someone added whiskey into a poorly made ale, it’s just a mess.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gold color with a small head. Light bourbon and fruit aroma. Some caramel and a bit of marshmallow. Corny and light grain flavor. A bit more fruit. Kind of tastes like watered-down bourbon.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Caramel, vanilla, almost nutty, this ale, you can call it that verges on the category of dessert. Goes really well with fried chicken or other salty food. Overall, I give it style points for its uniqueness, but I’m glad it only comes in 4-packs.
