3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a bottle. Dark clear pour, slight head. Very strong oak aroma with a healthy scent of bourbon. Flavor is coffee with a hint of vanilla. Not bad but not my favorite in the class.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep amber / brown with off-white head.
Nose: Sweet malt, maize, butter, dark honey, caramel, bourbon, vanilla.
Taste & palate: Caramel, bourbon, malt, slightly sweet, low bitterness. Medium rich body. Quite rich carbonation. Long, malty and bourbonny aftertaste with a bit of spiciness.
The bourbon really shines through, in a good way. A bourbon charmer and a typical "love it or hate it" beer. Probably not for the IPA fanatics. I love it.

Strong beer, but not overpowering, good flavor that didn’t taste artificial to me. Would drink again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle on 21st May 2016 into a Corsendonk glass on my daughters patio in California. Murky dark orange with a beige unlasting head. A bit disappointed with this to be honest, there was a trace of Bourbon esters in the aftertaste but otherwise I thought this bland and uninteresting for a so called barrel-aged beer of 8.2%ABV.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a red brown with minimal head. Smells of vanilla and oak, a bit too cloying. Taste is off - bourbon noted good but the beer underneath seems deeply flawed - unpleasant.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear darker amber, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is vanilla, sweet caramel, moderate alcohol. Medium bodied, sweet with caramel and vanilla. Pretty straightforward and one dimensional.
