COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale™ With a little creative curiosity, we used spent bourbon casks, fresh from decanting, and filled them with our very own Kentucky Ale. From barrels that once held the finest bourbons of Kentucky, we present Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, a smooth, golden elixir unlike any other. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. We attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the “angel’s share”. Elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted Kentucky bourbon.

Golden copper color with candy and caramel aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth with a nice buttery texture. Flavor contains a good sweet malt background with some nice caramel and vanilla notes from the barrel. A nice beer.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with a small white head. Aroma is brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, oak and butter. Flavour is much the same; brown sugar, caramel, oak, butter, vanilla. A little light bodied, unfermented sugars, but not all bad. Like Innis & Gunn but a little better all around.

Pours clear amber color-almost like apple juice. Aroma of vanilla, wood, and bourbon. Bourbon flavor with some vanilla and oak. Light bodied and seemed slightly over-carbonated. Decent enough though.

Look: pours a light copper. Very clear. White head. Smell: bourbon barrel. Yeast like a lager. Oak. Vanilla. Taste: bourbon. Oak and vanilla. Feel: thin mouth feel. Slightly sweet on the front and dry on the back. Overall: easy drinker. Just not my style. Heavy bourbon and barrel overwhelm the beer. First drank: 1/20/15 Vintage: 4/15/15

sweet bourbon and vanilla malty aroma. Tastes like an overly sweet lager. Nothing too interesting. A poor man’s Innis and Gunn.

Bottle. Amber color with small white foamy head that disappeared quickly, sharp bourbon aroma, medium carbonation, somewhat flat whisky taste, abrupt finish with alcohol aftertaste. The whisky taste is overpowering everything else.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Crystal clear medium amber with a beige rim head, small waves of lace. Aroma of malt and bourbon. Taste is malt that is joined early by a strong burst of carbonation. Then it adds light hops before returning to the malt and a light touch of bourbon. Alcohol is evident, but not overpowering. Could be good, but the carbonation clouds things.

full review: wp.me/p5urG4-ga The appearance of the beer was great, the carbonation bubbles that constantly flowed upward in the orange/amber hue was a delight. The head was a good thick white head with some good lacing. Unfortunately that is where the excitement for me stopped. I didn’t even finish the beer. I barely got the bourbon aroma out of it. I couldn’t identify the initial taste, but the finish was acidic to me. The palate was watery.

C’est gentil. C’est même sympathique en un sens .... Je veux dire du "Bourbon barrel" en version légère .... Pourquoi pas à la limite .... En même temps c’est un peu trop léger tout de même.
