Hazy amber beer, little white head. Light softish palate. Very sweet orange and cream soda soft drinks! Vanilla oak. Finishes dry. An odd odd beer. Pretty good for half a glass - but that was more than enough!

Bottle from Utobeer drunk at home. Clear bright orange amber colour. Very thin white head. Oh boy, even from the aroma, I know I’m not going to like this. Yes lots of bourbon on the aroma. I mean if I wanted to drink bourbon, I’d drink bourbon. But I don’t. I want to drink beer. So as a beer almost entirely pointless. Otherwise nothing really wrong with it, except it reminds me of Innis & Gunn beers which isn’t always a good thing. Yep, this just isn’t my kind of beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Bakgårde Både &. It pours a clear, dark golden to amber body under a small, off-white head. In my opinion, there’s too much vanilla on the nose, of the bourbon kind, followed by some wood, alcohol and caramel. A little fruity touch in the far back. Malt driven flavor with vanilla, caramel and a faint fruity touch. Full body, with a little warmth. There’s a little bitterness in the very end. Not my preferred beer in any way, there’s too much focus on the bourbon, but it’s drinkable and all that. Won’t buy another one though. 130404

12oz bottle-pours a thin rich white head with amber color. Aroma is sweet bourbon, medium malt-caramel, maybe some slight continental hops. Taste is sweet bourbon, grainy/medium malt-caramel, secondary continental hops, some booziness. Interesting.

Bottle from Liz. Pours clear orange amber with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is mostly bourbon/vanilla with a hint of oak. Med body. It’s rather sweet, with hints of treacle. The oak is identifiable, and the bourbon/vanilla is clearly present. Yet it is not a strongly flavored ale. Heat is marginally detectable. Finishes on the non-dry side. It has a caramel sugar candy aspect. But the oak offsets that. Really interesting and pretty tasty.
