COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Award-winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® is a unique sipping beer with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted bourbon. Our Kentucky Ale® is aged for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after-dinner drink. Launched in 2006, it has grown to become the flagship beer of the premier name in barrel-aged beers: Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company.

This is one of my all time favorite beers. It has a light golden brown color. Scent is slight lacking, dry smell. Very thin head. Taste is slightly tingly the flavor of the bourbon barrels is strong, but not overpowering. Finishes with a warming sensation in the belly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from Adam- Not a lot of head not too carbonated. Great caramel color. Not a ton of aroma. The bourbon flavor come fast and furious, but is not overwhelming. Finishes with some lovely vanilla. Very, very drinkable.

Pours clear amber color with a small, thin, bone-colored head that was gone quickly. Aroma of caramel or toffee, with notes of butter and vanilla oak. Medium body, very slightly watery, with a light boozy astringency to the finish. Flavors of toffee and butter, with notes of bourbon and wood.

Tap at bjs Polaris. I feel like I've been bill cosby'ed. My mouth was just raped. Acrid and bourbon taste is a recipe for awful. I wish the creator of this gets an ostomy and goes to prison and his cell mates rape it. Not really but you get the hint that this is awful.

Aroma is roasty malts, caramel, bourbon and cask woods. Taste is light and not overly complex malt depth, some honey, cream and definite sweet bourbon that is pretty well balanced. Not much hop presence here, very light tanin on tip. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.
