COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Aleô With a little creative curiosity, we used spent bourbon casks, fresh from decanting, and filled them with our very own Kentucky Ale. From barrels that once held the finest bourbons of Kentucky, we present Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, a smooth, golden elixir unlike any other. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrel. We attribute this to what the bourbon maker calls the ďangelís shareĒ. Elegantly smooth and modestly carbonated, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is a fine sipping ale with the distinctive nose of a well-crafted Kentucky bourbon.

I found this to be a very different beer. I assumed it would be more like a stout or a porter but it was very much lighter. I think that made it more appealing to me. I love beer but I am a whiskey drinker first and foremost. If you like whiskey you will like this. You cannot get away from the whiskey taste.

I love this beer. Itís alcohol content is fairly high, and itís a little sweet (itís the whiskey taste) for some people, but itís very smooth, with the oak flavor of the bourbon coming through. Itís also not so carbonated, very smooth. Iíd call it a coffee haterís alternative to Guinness. :) The stout is hoppier, but this is a dessert beer.

Poured a little on the cold side with a small off-white head, no lace and a clear amber color. Aroma is malt Oak and a bit of a funk. Flavor is a bit similar to aRoma, a little sweet, carbonic tang is well matched and Oak comes through nice too. Good body. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled 355ml. -at Scout Club Samobor. Golden/amber coloured, small off-white head, caramel and bourbon in the nose. Moderate malty, distinct bourbon and caramel with mild notes of alcohol. Interesting and quite likable but in other hand a bit too artificial bourbon presence. And of course a way too expensive...almost 10$!!!

Poured from a growler into a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel snifter a minimal head. Aroma of vanilla bourbon. Flavor is some mild hops definitely smooth bourbon. Have had this brew many time between on tap & bottled. This particular batch is fairly mild compared to some I have had on tap. Seems a bit inconsistent even with the bottled version but still something about this strong ale is better than just good. It is a smooth brew.smooth. If you are looking for a bourbon in your face brew then this is not it. Itís a semi sipper of a light nature with exceptional flavor.
