I think that made it more appealing to me. I love beer but I am a whiskey drinker first and foremost. If you like whiskey you will like this. You cannot get away from the whiskey taste.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent deeper gold with thin foamy head. Smells solid too; all bourbon though. Tastes like it smells with more vanilla and an average mouthfeel. Alright, but not by BB standards. Still, fairly easy to drink nonetheless.

Draft pour clear orange yellow. Nose of strong bourbon and some toffee. Taste more bourbon up front. Mid palate sweetness and a bourbon finish.

I am a big bourbon fan and this has a very pleasant odor of bourbon. The taste however is mediocre at best.

Tap at mellow mushroom Decatur - pours orange with a white head. Aroma is bourbon and not much else. Taste is sweet. Overall, a bit one note.

Draft from Mellow Mushroom Decatur. Pours brown with an inch of white foam. Smells and tastes of cheap bourbon and not much else. Eh!

The closest tasting beer to whiskey. Pours dark brown. Low carbonation. Lingering head. Taste of bourbon, caramel cream as it sinks down the gullet. Good beer to end the evening.
