Bottle bought at the GBBF, London. Pours a very dark brown colour with a good sized tan head, certainly looks the part. Aroma of roasted coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. Liqueur coffee finish. Lighter body than expected, mild carbonation, pretty good overall.

12oz bottle from Redmonds. Deep brown black, tan head. Coffee, oak, vanilla nose, flavour is coffee up front, then a chocolate rising sweetness, followed by the bourbon finish. Not overdone. Light enough body, tight, fizzy carbonation. Thereís a bit of warming alcohol in the finish. Nice enough.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared at a local tasting, pours black with a thin brown head, the aroma has a little bit of coffee and chocolate but was pretty light, the barrel doesnít really come through at all, the flavor has a little bit of chocolate on the front end with some of the bourbon and vanilla in the sweetness, not bad but nothing great, I canít believe people buy this stuff for $12 a 4 pack.

Poured from bottle. Great aroma of coffee, honey and malt. Jet black with hardly any head. The coffee and the bourbon and malt go surprisingly well together. My only gripe is a somewhat watery feel. Donít taste the alcohol at all. Coffee isnít overpowering either. With a little tweaking this could be outstanding.

Nice aroma of coffee and toffee with a hint of bourbon aged aroma. Flavor is food but a little mild and left me wanting a little kick. Had four pack from Holmes.

Dark brown with a little light foam. Nice roasted malt and coffee aroma but I donít get any bourbon. Taste is roasty malt, bourbon, caramel and some coffee. The bourbon isnít as pronounced the Ale. Nice barrel aged stout. Enjoyable.
