COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carefully crafted by Alltech’s master brewers, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout® builds on the success of its barrel-aged brother, the beloved Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale®. Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout is brewed and aged with Alltech® Café Citadelle Haitian coffee and aged in world-famous Kentucky bourbon barrels. The result is a complex stout with dark-roasted malts, hints of caramel and vanilla and a lightly roasted coffee finish.

Bottle from the store. Pours light brown with minimal head. Nose is chocolate with a light bourbon nose. Some vanilla as well. Taste is Gawd Awful sour and tart. Damn infected beer. I’m dumping this.

(Bottle). Deep brown complexion with quickly diminishing head. Malty flavor with slightly bitter coffee and mild bourbon. Overly carbonated for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mahogany with a thick khaki head that leaves no lacing in the glass. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate and a pinch of bourbon. I don’t really taste much bourbon in this. It has a strong coffee taste with a tiny bit of sweetness on the backend. I’m guessing that’s supposed to be the bourbon, but I don’t get it. There are a ton of better bourbon barrel beers out there but as a stout, this is pretty good.

Good beer but I enjoyed the pungent flavor of bourbon more in the ale than in this offering.

Draft @ Titanic Brewing. Pours clear dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malt with a hint of bourbon. Roasted malt and light bourbon flavor with very little barrel character if any at all. Medium body with average carbonation.

Black color with a light tan head with medium duration. Aroma has notes of light bourbon, mild toasted malsta dn licorice. Flavor is slightly bittery with sweet hints, barrel and bourbon hints with some coffee and licorice notes. Light body for an imperial stout.

pours unclear medium dark brown, red tint, with a reviving light beige cap, minimal retention and lacing. stale coffee, roasted grains, roasted acidity - almost tart; citrus, pine, booze, plain dark malts akin to a poor black ipa, spicy berries, tons of pepper, cigarette buts, hint of vanilla. light carboantion, light body - slightly watery - clearly lacking for style; acrid and ashy-coffee finish. disgusting.
