Nice aroma of coffee and toffee with a hint of bourbon aged aroma. Flavor is food but a little mild and left me wanting a little kick. Had four pack from Holmes.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown with a little light foam. Nice roasted malt and coffee aroma but I don’t get any bourbon. Taste is roasty malt, bourbon, caramel and some coffee. The bourbon isn’t as pronounced the Ale. Nice barrel aged stout. Enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured medium-deep brown with a short-lived, toasted tan head. The aroma picked up sweet-ish, light-moderately roasted coffee paired with slightly rough bourbon and charred oak.. more coffee than anything else, and it was just OK. The flavor found similar stuff, but it worked a little better.. roasty coffee throughout, with mild accents of sweet bourbon and vanilla.. lightly tangy oak laced throughout.. finished very dry with a nice hit of coffee. Medium-bodied at most on the palate, and a tad thin overall.. low-moderate carbonation.. this needed a bit more substance or dimensions.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Medium body, flat mouthfeel, rather watery,
Low bitterness, sweet, unbalanced,
Flavor reminds one of a flat cola,

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours nice and dark. Aroma is straight up coffee pot. Flavor is a mix of coffee and watered down malt. It seems to lack the depth from the the bourbon barrel flavor, at least that I can detect, which is a bit disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from The Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured black with a dense tan head, very appetising. Aroma coffee, burnt malt and slight almond/ marzipan hints, which were a tad off-putting. Flavours of dark fruit, oak and ash. Palate finishes with burnt malt, espresso and molasses.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz. Opaque with a lasting spit of bubbles. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate and charred popcorn. Tastes of old coffee, charred popcorn and dirty vanilla. The barrel is nice but the beer underneath is near to awful. Medium body has average carbonation and is balanced. Pretty rough but one bottle is sharable if no craft options are available.
