COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrels that once contained world-famous Kentucky Bourbon lend a sweet hint of caramel and vanilla to dark-roasted malts and finish with the essence of a lightly roasted coffee. The barrel-aged flavors native to Kentucky compliment this complex stout brewed and aged with Haitian coffee to create the bourbon country’s own Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.

With Taylor on draft at the blind tiger. Pours boring black with no head. Aroma is chunky roasted malt, some rough bourbon. Taste is water, rough roasted malt and an off coffee.

Bottle 355ml, a dark beer with good head. Nose is on dark chocolate, aroma is not agressive at all, smooth and delicate, light wood notes, almost no hops, caramel and dark chocolate touch, alcohol is well hidden, easy drinkable.

Bottle. Nice dark dense looking pour. Pretty weak effort here though - touch of sour fruit on the nose, no way that was intended. Slight tart taste to go along with some mild roast. It is not a bad beer, but it completely misses the advertised mark.

A nice average hight IBV brew. Dark with very fast fading head. Coffee aroma, not much bourbon barrel but coffee is prominant. Very nice beer on tongue which is creamy not thick. Enjoyable. Much much better than the ale. not sour nice coffee flavor.

I really enjoyed this, much more than the ale. If it was creamier, I think this beer would be epic. Strong bourbon flavors in a dark, rich stout. Nice beer!

Bottle from BottleSelect.com. Pours very dark brown with a creamy/bubbly tan head. Aroma is primarily dark coffee. Must be espresso! Full bodied or better - if possible. The coffee is so extreme. There are hints of oak and bourbon, and cool burnt malt. But this is so xtreme with coffee, it deserves to be evaluated against the Brewdog Paradox series - in terms of impact. Wowser! Memo to self: resume chewing coffee beans.
