2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Coffee, vanilla, booze aroma. Pours black with a thinnish tan head that fades quickly. Light bodied. Thin mouthfeel. Coffee bitterness countered with a fruit vanilla sweetness. Very slight whiskey flavor. Smells WAAY better than it tastes.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
dark brown colour, moderate beige head;aroma of coffee, earth, whisky and some herbal notes; taste of coffee, earth, and some burnt malt; definitely the worst imperial stout I’ve ever tasted

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2014 Deep-water hiding a Malaysian Airlines flight 370 in total blackness. As I near the bottom, I hope to uncover the secret of the disappearance! But alas, yes this coffee-beer stout is espresso dark. Alcohol snifter and forward on the palette, it expedites leaving some bitter and a slight dark roast in your cheek. The coffee is overwhelming the bourbon. I love the bourbon ale produced by Kentucky so I had the same expectations in this. But as the description reads true to form, vanilla and coffee. Boring. Bring forth the bourbon in this barrel-aged-wasted beer stout thingy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Heavily medicinal aroma. Coffee flavors are almost overpowering; the taste is completely one of coffee and whiskey (maybe they should’ve called this stout "Irish Coffee"). Needs to be enjoyed with a meal; doesn’t work well as a standalone sipper.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle into a snifter. Appearance is black, a very small fizzy head which diminishes instantly. Aroma- lots of chocolate, milky coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla, hint of coconut. Taste- coffee, chocolate, bitterness, cocoa, hint of bourbon but not too much, nutty hints, medium to full mouthfeel. Very tasty.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Lovely coffee stout. Bourbon aged but doesn’t give a hugely distinctive bourbon flavour, dominated by the Haitian coffee flavour. Doesn’t pour with a great head but a lovely coffee stout none the less.
