Carefully crafted by Alltech’s master brewers, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout® builds on the success of its barrel-aged brother, the beloved Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale®. Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout is brewed and aged with Alltech® Café Citadelle Haitian coffee and aged in world-famous Kentucky bourbon barrels. The result is a complex stout with dark-roasted malts, hints of caramel and vanilla and a lightly roasted coffee finish.

This beer surprised me. Much better than I expected. Could have been a little more malty (may have made it perfect) for a stout to compliment the bourbon, but still very tasty.

Po nazwie spodziewałem się super uderzenia wanilii i nut typowych dla piw leżakowanych w beczce. Zawiodłem się nieco. Jest dość spokojnie i łagodnie. Piwo jest zbyt lekkie, nazbyt sesyjne.

Bottle. A decent aroma full of malt and coffee with a hint of chocolate. A dark burnt brown/blackish color with a great tan head that dissipates swiftly. Starts out with strong malt and coffee, then definitely gets some caramel/vanilla notes and finishes easy. Was a decent stout overall.

Tap. Amber pour with a big white head. Vanilla, American oak, caramel. Very oaky. Medium to light body. Too much oak for the body

Opaque black with a thin, light beige head. Aroma of chocolate and a little coffee. Flavor is sweet at first, with a coffee finish. Not bad.

One of the dankest stout not Stone. Aroma is non-indicative as the deep coffee aspect overwhelms other facets. As such, it does linger well after the last sip. Otherwise its drinkability resembles a dark ale meets light IPA. At 8 who can complain... Coffee lover’s delight.

355 ml bottle. Pours a ruby reddish black with a short lived beige head. Aroma is roasted, woody. Flavor is woody, bourbon, sweet. Finish is wood, roasted malt and fruits. Light body, weak carbonation. Very disappointing.

Pitch black pour with a brown head. Earthy woodsy aroma with vanilla and some prunes. On the palate it is fairly big with cereal mash a tad sweet with some toast and prunes. not bad beer at all.

Pours deep brown with opaque clarity. The delicate head is 2 fingers but dissipates quickly. First note in the aroma is a alcoholic, which is a bit unmasked by the coffee and cereal 2nd notes. Has a dry finish.

Pours a black-brown with a thin khaki head from a bottle. Roasted coffee aroma and flavor notes over bitter chocolate and black malts, I don’t get much from the bourbon, except maybe a hint of oaky vanilla.
