Poured from a 12 oz. bottle, thanks Andrew. Should be called a coffee stout, lots of coffee taste but very little bourbon. The bourbon came through a little after it warmed up. I donít typically like coffee stouts but this was smooth and didnít have the bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Almost pitch black body, instantly disappearing light brown head. Aroma and taste of coffee, chocolate and hints of dark rum (I guess itís bourbon, but it totally reminds me of rum). Very smooth mouthfeel. I like it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle at home. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small, disappearing beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate, with lighter bourbon notes than their flagship beer. The base is thin and has a bunch of coffee. Much better beer available for the same cost

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Too thin of a stout. If ever there was a generic bourbon barrel flavor this had it. Not undrinkable, just watery, sweet, and almost acidic.

Very dark pour, almost black. Nice coffee and roasted malts in the aroma which also follow in the taste. Couldnít find any bourbon in the aroma or taste. Body is slightly watery for the style. Not bad overall, with some good coffee presence, but no bourbon.

Pours near black with thin beige head. Has the aroma of roasted coffee beans and cocoa. Taste is coffee, chocolate, rotated malt, smoke and a hint of bourbon. Pretty good stout.

Rated based on notes taken 19 July 2013 -- This is a very good stout, drank after a Wake ín Bake by Terrapin and it is not as good, but holds up to it.

1.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a dark brownish black. Lighter tan head. Smell isnít that bad. Light chocolate, coffee, and a hint of whiskey. The taste though is pretty unbearable. It tastes like when you burp and a little puke comes up combined with some Starbucks frappachino made with rotten milk. I seriously couldnít get drunk on this if it were the only thing at an open bar at a wedding.

A nice blend of coffee, bourbon, and hops. A nice toasty taste with good consistency.
