COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrels that once contained world-famous Kentucky Bourbon lend a sweet hint of caramel and vanilla to dark-roasted malts and finish with the essence of a lightly roasted coffee. The barrel-aged flavors native to Kentucky compliment this complex stout brewed and aged with Haitian coffee to create the bourbon country’s own Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.

An easy drinking stout. Nice subtle bourbon flavor, nothing over powering. Very enjoyable.

Tölgyfa-íz kivehető. Finoman simul bele a 8%-os alkoholtartalom. Kávéssága nem penetráns, sokkal inkább kellemesen vizes. Nem tolakodó, de nem is visszafogott. Habja gyorsan elillan, íze állhatatos.

Bottled. Almost pitch black body, instantly disappearing light brown head. Aroma and taste of coffee, chocolate and hints of dark rum (I guess it’s bourbon, but it totally reminds me of rum). Very smooth mouthfeel. I like it.

12 oz bottle at home. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small, disappearing beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate, with lighter bourbon notes than their flagship beer. The base is thin and has a bunch of coffee. Much better beer available for the same cost

Tap at Jekyll. Pours a very dark brown to black color with a brown head. Aroma is dark roast with woody notes and light Bourbon notes. Flavor is dark roast, some sweet notes and wood. Dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Too thin of a stout. If ever there was a generic bourbon barrel flavor this had it. Not undrinkable, just watery, sweet, and almost acidic.

Very dark pour, almost black. Nice coffee and roasted malts in the aroma which also follow in the taste. Couldn’t find any bourbon in the aroma or taste. Body is slightly watery for the style. Not bad overall, with some good coffee presence, but no bourbon.

Pours near black with thin beige head. Has the aroma of roasted coffee beans and cocoa. Taste is coffee, chocolate, rotated malt, smoke and a hint of bourbon. Pretty good stout.

Rated based on notes taken 19 July 2013 -- This is a very good stout, drank after a Wake ’n Bake by Terrapin and it is not as good, but holds up to it.

Pours a dark brownish black. Lighter tan head. Smell isn’t that bad. Light chocolate, coffee, and a hint of whiskey. The taste though is pretty unbearable. It tastes like when you burp and a little puke comes up combined with some Starbucks frappachino made with rotten milk. I seriously couldn’t get drunk on this if it were the only thing at an open bar at a wedding.
