COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrels that once contained world-famous Kentucky Bourbon lend a sweet hint of caramel and vanilla to dark-roasted malts and finish with the essence of a lightly roasted coffee. The barrel-aged flavors native to Kentucky compliment this complex stout brewed and aged with Haitian coffee to create the bourbon countryís own Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.

pours like coffee with some light shining through on the edges with a minimal head. aromas of coffee, vanilla, chocolate and slight coconut. the taste is very roasty with tons of coffee, I am not picking up a ton of bourbon but there is some vanilla present. Mouthfeel is pretty thin for a stout especially one at 8 percent abv. I am not saying this is bad but it is kind of weak for the style.

12 oz bottle at home. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small, disappearing beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate, with lighter bourbon notes than their flagship beer. The base is thin and has a bunch of coffee. Much better beer available for the same cost

Tap at Jekyll. Pours a very dark brown to black color with a brown head. Aroma is dark roast with woody notes and light Bourbon notes. Flavor is dark roast, some sweet notes and wood. Dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Too thin of a stout. If ever there was a generic bourbon barrel flavor this had it. Not undrinkable, just watery, sweet, and almost acidic.

Very dark pour, almost black. Nice coffee and roasted malts in the aroma which also follow in the taste. Couldnít find any bourbon in the aroma or taste. Body is slightly watery for the style. Not bad overall, with some good coffee presence, but no bourbon.

Pours near black with thin beige head. Has the aroma of roasted coffee beans and cocoa. Taste is coffee, chocolate, rotated malt, smoke and a hint of bourbon. Pretty good stout.

Rated based on notes taken 19 July 2013 -- This is a very good stout, drank after a Wake ín Bake by Terrapin and it is not as good, but holds up to it.

Pours a dark brownish black. Lighter tan head. Smell isnít that bad. Light chocolate, coffee, and a hint of whiskey. The taste though is pretty unbearable. It tastes like when you burp and a little puke comes up combined with some Starbucks frappachino made with rotten milk. I seriously couldnít get drunk on this if it were the only thing at an open bar at a wedding.

A nice blend of coffee, bourbon, and hops. A nice toasty taste with good consistency.

This is pretty good. Not as roasted as a lot of stouts and not as sweet as a lot of bourbon barrel beers.
