COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrels that once contained world-famous Kentucky Bourbon lend a sweet hint of caramel and vanilla to dark-roasted malts and finish with the essence of a lightly roasted coffee. The barrel-aged flavors native to Kentucky compliment this complex stout brewed and aged with Haitian coffee to create the bourbon country’s own Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.

12oz bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate and hints of coffee, light bourbon and oak and floral hops. Flavor the same. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer.

It's a decent enough Bourbon Stout. Poured with a short-lived light tan head, no lace and an opaque Black brown color. Aroma is roast Malt, bourbon. Flavors like aroma well-balanced very drinkable but not too complex. Kind of an average body for a stout. Overall a good enough beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The low alcohol content allowed the coffee flavor to dominate...which, not being a coffee lover, i did not fall in love with this beer.

Nice, opaque black appearance. Smells roasty with lots of coffee. Slight caramel hints, but it’s mainly all coffee. The taste is very light on the bourbon, heavy on the coffee and smoke - almost like weak diner coffee. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin for a stout.

Többet vártam, sokkal többet. Az igaz, hogy van némi tölgyfahordós, kávés jellege, de nekem nem volt elég testes az ilyen típushoz, pláne nem karakteres.

Totally missed the mention of coffee on the label -- it’s much stronger than bourbon barrel influence. Also some chocolate and char in there.

Nice pour, good head. Very dark in color. Smoky malt, coffee and chocolate aroma. Taste similar to aroma with bitter bourbon and some dark fruit also. Good beer

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with tall, long lasting, creamy, beige head and nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, toast, dark fruit, coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. Body is full, creamy and smooth. Taste is of some funk, bourbon, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, brown sugar, dark fruit and some hops. Finish is long and boozy. Well done brew.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2014 Pours deep reddish mahogany with a small tan head. Smells of coffee and hints of vanilla. Taste is bourbon vanilla sweetness with a touch of coffee underneath. Full-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout finishes with a lingering, cloying syrupy sweetness.
