This is the first new beer released since Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale was launched in 2006. Alltech brews the coffe stout using roasted malts and the Haitian coffee they launched in September 2010. growler - pours pitch black with espresso-like foam and great lacing. Nose is dark chocolate and creamy-like sweetness. Flavor adds coffee. Flat and watery with sticky mouthfeel. Drinks like flat cola with coffee. Super easy to drink. slowly warms the belly. Mildly bitter and ever so lightly sweet.

Aroma of significant coffee and light chocolate. Appearance is black with tan head. Flavor matches the nose; a nice balance of chocolate and coffee. Palate is oily and creamy. Good.

Sample on tap at the Jackie-Os brewpub. Nice, thick foamy almost nitro-esque tan head. Black color, some groups of fine bubbles on the side of the glass. Nice, smooth lighter carbonation. Good creamy milk stout aroma in the nose, but itís light. Light sweet taste. The coffee in this is subtle. Reminds me more of Left Handís milk stout, personally.

16 ounce mason jar/mini-growler purchased from Party Town earlier this morning for $2.75. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch light tan head that stayed around a little while. Thereís a small amount of lacing. Aroma is mostly coffee, with there being some roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate also noticeable. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but thereís the addition of some burnt/charred malt. The flavors do seem a little weaker in comparison to the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit creamy and coating and has moderate carbonation. Itís not one of the best coffee brews Iíve had, but itís still solid and definitely worth trying. Iíd buy this one again in the future.

Draft at Chappys thanks to Hannah. You know, pretty tasty and better than I honestly expected. You definitely know this is a coffee beer. Like a nice cup of coffee with a hint of vanilla and cream. Tasty.

Draft. Poured dark brown color with a moderate frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy chocolate, wood and coffee with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy creamy coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.
