Kentucky IPAģ is a deliciously hoppy, golden-hued American India Pale Ale. It has bright citrus flavors and sweet floral aromas that come from liberal dry-hopping with American hops. The India Pale Ale style is the fastest growing craft beer style on the US market.

Kentucky IPAģ is the first canned beer produced by Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. and is sold in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. This format is ideal for sporting events, outdoor concerts, at the beach and other places where glass is not permitted. Kentucky IPA is also available in bottles and on draft.

Big can in a tulip. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of light floral and light citrusy hops plus pale malts and dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best, probably because itís from Lexington.

On tap at the Lexington airport. A very unimpressive IPA. Bland hop notes with no real direction. Bitter and unbalanced. Below average mouthfeel and body...

Can. Golden color. Decent head. Grapefruity flowery aroma. Taste is a bitter citrus taste.

Clear golden orange, frothy white head. SMell is light and herbal with citrus melon and squash. Flavor is again mild, some citrus, herbs, very light, low bitterness, slight acidity. Pleasant but not amazing.

The pale amber colored body was very clear, and the pour formed a nicely proportioned, two-finger thick, foamy head. The smell was grapefruit and mandarin oranges, and was very pleasing, but a bit mild. The taste once again showcased the citric hops, with lemony, grapefruity bitterness that was very much to my liking. There was a touch of sweetness and some light herbs in the finish. The body was a little on the light side. I enjoyed this beer.

16 oz can: Nearly clear, bubbly amber with a short, off-white head. Grapefruit, citrus aroma. Taste is caramel malt, piney hops. Decent and easy drinking.

If you like IPA, you need to taste this, its terribly on style. From the start its pungent hops, all the way down. Tastes like way more than 7%. I donít care for this style because this, like its style, rototills across your taste buds and down the throat. wew. Only thing that makes this almost palatable for me is the slight amount of thankful co2. Ruined my taste buds, cannot taste another beer today.

16oz can into a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a thick one finger white head. Really good head retention and lacing thanks to some serious carbonation. Not bad. The aroma is very earthy and very dank. Wet leaves, tree bark, garlic, and onions along with weed. A tiny bit of toast from the malt underneath but hops really dominate. There is a little more fruit in the taste but still a lot of earthy, dank hops. A bit of orange and tangerine and a bit of citric tartness. The malt is caramel and toast but takes a back seat to the hops. Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side with a strong bitterness and lingering mild sweetness. Overall, just a very run of the mill IPA. The earth and dank is a nice departure from the typical citrus IPAís but I canít say Iím really impressed. Iíll stick to the bourbon barrel ale.

Clear golden brown topped by a dense white head. Citrus, dust, and earthy hops in the aroma. Light bitterness, some grapefruit and mango flavors followed by a hint of nutty malts. Pretty run of the mill IPA, not bad but nothing to write home about.

Solid beer that I would drink again solely based on the price. Got it for $8 for 4 16 oz. It's a very drinkable beer that leans more APA than IPA to me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
