COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky IPA® is a deliciously hoppy, golden-hued American India Pale Ale. It has bright citrus flavors and sweet floral aromas that come from liberal dry-hopping with American hops. The India Pale Ale style is the fastest growing craft beer style on the US market.

Kentucky IPA® is the first canned beer produced by Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. and is sold in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. This format is ideal for sporting events, outdoor concerts, at the beach and other places where glass is not permitted. Kentucky IPA is also available in bottles and on draft.

The hops are oily and sticky. Lots of lacing. Smells like wet forest. Deep amber color, bit of bite from the carbonation.

Bottle - Clear golden colour, small white head, fair retention and lacing. Decent hoppy nose with citrussy and piney hops. Malt base is quite simple, some caramel notes. Nice hop bitterness, grapefruit, spruce, leon zest, tangerine. Light body, moderate carbonation, dry, bitter finish, a bit watery mouthfeel. Good everyday IPA, but nothing special.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light golden amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is of mild piney hops. The taste is piney hops with some malt, fairly dry palate. A pretty good beer.

Pours a crystal clear classic golden. Fresh hop nose with good balance from the grain. Flavor is vibrant for a fleeting moment. It falls flat pretty quickly. Bitters after the finish.

355ml Flasche auf Martinique. Goldgelbes Bier mit hellem festem Schaum. Blumiger Hopfenduft. Leicht nach Grass und Heu. Geschmack ist hopfig herb mit bitterem Abgang. Recht leicht und flach, aber dafür süffig.

12 oz bottle served cold. Hazy gold with a white head. A little bit of grapefruit aroma. Muted IPA flavours, as if it wants to be a robust IPA, but can’t commit. Okay, but only just.

Bottle - Deep gold with a small head. Has a weird sea or lake water aroma. Earthy hops. Nothing special.

At a tasting, medium but quickly diminishing, bubbly head, slightly hazy deep yellow, aroma of flowers and slightly over ripe oranges, feels a bit like a deodorant, sweet and a bit sickly fruit flavor with some tea, unpleasant bitterness. Dissapointing.

Pretty average, as IPAs go. Mild grapefruit bitterness with some light floral notes.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Tom L. Clear yellow with a huge head. Smell of earthy hops and yeast. Sweet-sour, malty and yeasty, cirus skin bitterness. Too fizzy. Quite a mess.
