COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky IPA® is a deliciously hoppy, golden-hued American India Pale Ale. It has bright citrus flavors and sweet floral aromas that come from liberal dry-hopping with American hops. The India Pale Ale style is the fastest growing craft beer style on the US market.

Kentucky IPA® is the first canned beer produced by Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. and is sold in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. This format is ideal for sporting events, outdoor concerts, at the beach and other places where glass is not permitted. Kentucky IPA is also available in bottles and on draft.

The pale amber colored body was very clear, and the pour formed a nicely proportioned, two-finger thick, foamy head. The smell was grapefruit and mandarin oranges, and was very pleasing, but a bit mild. The taste once again showcased the citric hops, with lemony, grapefruity bitterness that was very much to my liking. There was a touch of sweetness and some light herbs in the finish. The body was a little on the light side. I enjoyed this beer.

Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of caramel, orange zest, pink grapefruit and light pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of bread, orange zest, grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering grapefruit finish.

Light amber with creamy head. Floral, caramel, hoppy bitterness that is average for an ipa. Lack of homogeneity for me between initial caramel, malty and final bitterness. A little watery too. Big bubbles. Ok.

Bottle bought at Dublin Airport. Poured a golden orange colour, slightly cloudy, with a decent sized white head. Aroma is hoppy, not that strong, with citrus notes. Taste is toward heavy on bitterness, medium body, average carbonation, with a hoppy bitterness to finish. I do like IPA’s with a good level of bitterness and this was an enjoyable beer.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Grassy nose. Flavors of citrus and alfalfa (or Kentucky bluegrass?). Decent.

Solid IPA that wasn’t too hoppy nor bitter, perhaps a bit lite on both for my tastes.

Very mellow IPA with low bitterness. If this weren’t so alcoholic, it would make a decent session IPA. As it is, it just comes off as underwhelming in flavor.

Une fine mousse blanche, une robe orangée. Au nez le houblon est très présent, au goût l’amertume est forte mais courte. C’est ma première bière US, une IPA dont l’amertume est moins enveloppée que les IPA européennes déjà goûtées. 355 ml V&B Langueux

Bottle - clear gold with slim white head. Aroma of light citrus hops, light fruit. Similar in the taste, some sweetness, some late bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not really an IPA.
