COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Light is a light bodied easy drinker for a thirst quenching low calorie, low carb experience. The aroma is lively with a crisp, zesty finish. That’s because our specialized yeast, said to be the life force in beer, is the single greatest flavor contributor to this remarkably smooth and flavorful microbrew sure to be a Bluegrass favorite for years to come.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a Kentucky Light glass, the beer pours a mostly clear straw gold color with about a quarter inch white head that stayed around for a bit. There’s a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like grainy/bready malt and some light grassy/herbal hops. Taste is just like the aroma, mostly grainy with a clean finish. Mouthfeel/body is light, it’s nice and refreshing, and is well carbonated. It’s easy to drink, it certainly wouldn’t be a problem to drink a 6-pack of this. I think it’s a nice lighter beer, it’s worth a try.

Light haze on this pale gold beer. Light dry palate with a little fine carbonation. Dry lagerish malt, whisper of citrus. Dry finish. Not too offensive but a little over dry.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Grainy and relatively clean, with light straw/grassy-like notes. Not awful.

Bottle. This has a weird aroma that I can’t exactly place. Like melon or something. Average looking light beer pour: faded yellow with little head. Light mouth feel. Watery. Slight hint of citrus and melon. Good enough for a thirst quencher I suppose. But unless someone buys it for me I’ll never have it again. Not really a "light" beer at 124 calories. I do like the classic/retro label, though.

Bottle from Lizardville. Clear very pale yellow pour with a small fizzy head. Very bland - straw and corn. Not good at all. Fairly high carbonation.

Sour, corny malt aroma with a little lemon. From the smell, I feared the meaning of the horses on the cap and label. Clear, light ginger ale color. LIttle head. Standard US longneck. Tangy, lemony, modestly bittered. Almost like a shandy, not terribly complex, but it sure tastes better than it smells. Lawn mower beer. ABC Likkas, Betton.

The aroma is malty sweet and slightly citrusy with hints of adjuncts. The appearance hazy gold with a medium head that fades to nothing. The taste is like the aroma with a quick mineral water and hop finish. The palate is smooth. Overall drinkable (very bland) and not a Kolsch but a neat way to do a light beer.

12oz bottle, best by 12/17/12. Clear pale yellow color. Minimal white head. Good crisp moderate carbonation, medium body. Good hay / straw / mildly grassy aroma. Light bitter taste, little light-beer bite. Really clever way to do a light beer.

Bottle. Pale gold body with a thin bright white head. The nose has some green beans and raw potatoes. There is also some odd yogurt character. The taste is like green beans mixed with bread crust. There is also more of that weird yogurt character. An odd and terrible beer.
