COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Light is a light bodied easy drinker for a thirst quenching low calorie, low carb experience. The aroma is lively with a crisp, zesty finish. That’s because our specialized yeast, said to be the life force in beer, is the single greatest flavor contributor to this remarkably smooth and flavorful microbrew sure to be a Bluegrass favorite for years to come.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a pale yellow with an average white head. Aroma of grain and malt. Taste is light malt, grain, and grass. Very thin. Not offensive.

Bottle. Musty lemon and grass aroma. Hazy yellow with a small white head. Sour corn malt flavor with a slight grassy bitter finish. Light body and carbonation. I suppose it would do in a pinch on a hot day, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

Not that great of a light beer. Some malt. Not nearly as good as the Kentucky Ale. Too much malt in the taste for me. Overall eh, could be a lot better. But what can you say.

Bottle. Light, pale, hazy yellow with nice carbonation that bumps the total score up a bit. Aroma is light malty grain. Not very good. Standard light lager flavor. Raw grain, bit of straw, some very light hops. Lightly carbonated body. This is not good, but there are no really off flavors.

Bottle at home on13 May 2011 from CASK Pub & Kitchen. Stored upright for a week. Pours golden yellow, slight haze, thinnish bubbly head dying quickly to patchy film. Fairly quenching beer. Inviting aroma then a pleasantly hoppy liquid with cheesy, savoury notes. The aftertaste is grassy, with some "freshly baked bread" notes and a savoury touch continuing. The mouthfeel is agreeable, textured and saline. I rather enjoyed this bottle, and wished I’d bought a second.

Aroma of hay, white grape and light honey. Appearance is gold with light white head. Flavor matched the nose with a sweet honey finish. Palate was bubbly. I thought this was quite nice compared to the ratings on here.

Draft in a pint glass - pour light yellow with light white head and no lacing. Aroma is lemon and smokiness. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter. Body is light. High carbonation thanks to the belching. Little oily and medium lastj g finish. One of the better kolsch beers I’ve had in terms of taste. Too light or me but still better than light lagers.

Sampled at 2012 Indianapolis Brew Ha Ha. Light, bland, nothing too special about this beer unfortunately.

Bottle brought back from Kentucky. Pours pale yellow with a white fizzy head. The aroma was a bit astringent with a good dosing of sweet corny malts. The flavor of this beer was seriously washed out. It didn’t have much of anything going on aside from some light cereal grains and maybe a bit of grassy hops. I would rather drink the Bourbon Barrel Ale from these guys,

MmmcKay (1019) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - AUG 4, 2009
Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. An easy light tasting brew. I could handle drinking this at a bar if it was the only thing on tap. I wouldn’t ever go back to that bar though. Thought it was better than the regular Kentucky Ale. The bourbon barrel is hands down the best of the group though.
