COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale is a barrel-aged ale brewed with Kentucky-sourced pumpkin, richly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. As the ale is aged in fresh bourbon barrels, the sweetness of caramel and vanilla are imparted upon the brew and complement its spicier base. At 10 percent alcohol by volume (ABV), this robust, limited release seasonal makes for a flavorful sipping beer to slowly warm up with as the weather cools. Some retailers will be offering collectible jack-o-latern snifters along with the ale.

Draft. Amber pour. Smell of booze and pumpkin pie. The flavor is just wretched here. Feels like bourbon was dumped into the beer, harsh and boozy, pumpkin spice vomit, ipecac and sweetness.

12 oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a clear orange with two fingers of white foam. Nose is butterscotch, fake vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Taste is butterscotch and vanilla mostly with underlying spice. Little pumpkin flavor. Smooth and creamy while remaining thin and light. A little alcohol warmth. This is pretty mediocre stuff.

Amber orange pour. Nose of vanilla, oak, pumpkin, and mild spice. Flavor is mild vanilla and dry oak with bourbon, spice and lightly sweet pumpkin. Lingering oak, vanilla, and spice. Rather impressive in my opinion.

Bottle - Pours a beautiful golden amber color with a white thin head. Aroma is spiced, malty. Flavor is spiced, malty, warm and inviting. Easy to sip on going into the fall season. Alcohol is hidden well. Would drink again.

Delicious brew. Smooth with a very subtle pumpkin. Dangerous at 10% as this brew doesn't have a high alcohol finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a translucent orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet malt, and pumpkin spices. Taste is very sweet, pumpkin spices, with a touch of bourbon, very sweet and artificial.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of oak, bourbon, pumpkin, and some alcohol. Flavor is the same with plenty of oak flavor. Finishes with some alcohol warming.

Bourbon + Pumpkin? How can you go wrong? Good spice balance, fresh pumpkin and plenty of vanilla bourbon. Not too terribly sweet.

Is there pumpkin in here. All I taste is alcohol. There are SO many decent to great pumpkin beers, this doesn’t deserve any of your time.
