COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale is a barrel-aged ale brewed with Kentucky-sourced pumpkin, richly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. As the ale is aged in fresh bourbon barrels, the sweetness of caramel and vanilla are imparted upon the brew and complement its spicier base. At 10 percent alcohol by volume (ABV), this robust, limited release seasonal makes for a flavorful sipping beer to slowly warm up with as the weather cools. Some retailers will be offering collectible jack-o-latern snifters along with the ale.

The bourbon is still a bit overpowering to the pumpkin i would have liked to see a better balance between the two ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped 112714-1. Orange, headless pour like the "Headless Horseman." But I do truly like to have a little head on my beer although some others may not. Otherwise I get a "flat" perception. The aroma is nice with a muted pumpkin spice character and an abundant cinnamon spice character. Decent medium to above medium body. It has some stones. I id not get a whole lot of bourbon on the nose but it seems to sneak in a little more in the flavor. Excluding that, I get a sweet pumpkin and cinnamon sensation in the taste with a clean finish. Sweetness abounds!!!

Draft at Scion thanks to Travlr. Poured a clear dark golden color with a white head. Aroma was some barrel, vanilla, booze and a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor was boozy vanilla and caramel notes. Some pumpkin.

Pretty much just barrel. Pours amber without much head or lacing. Some light pumpkin here with all associated spices. Scion thanks to Travlr.

I love it so much that I practically bought out the North shore :) Just realized it was 300 calories. Oh Well its seasonal so I will over look that. Love it.

Bottle. Pours a really pretty orange-amber with a bright white, large-grained, lacy head. Nose is nutmeg, allspice, orange, vanilla, and a touch of both bourbon and pumpkin. Sweet, boozy, and smoky up front, with a lot of vanilla and brown sugar; there’s a ghost of vegetal flavor on the back of the palate to remind you that a pumpkin was involved at some point, but the bourbon pretty much takes it out back of the woodshed and beats hell out of it. Drier on the finish, with a long, oaky streak. Good beer -- I just wish there was a bit more pumpkin involved, if they were going to go to the trouble of putting it on the label.

Bottle pour copper with minimal head. Nose pumpkin, pie filling, and hint of barrel. Taste some Bourbon up front, followed by pumpkin pie. Lighter bitter finish. Barrel carries from early to mid palate.

The aroma is pumpkin, vanilla, oak. The appearance is clear deep amber, white head. The flavor is caramel, pumpkin, brown sugar, spice, light bourbon. The finish ois bourbon, warming. Pretty nice.
