BOTTLE 33CL. Head: white medium frothy, avg. retention. Colour: straw-yellow, clear. Aroma: harsh sulfury dryness. Taste: malt, grain, quite dirty, light sourness/acidity, no bitterness. Just an empty macro-lager.

Bottle from Tesco. Grainy corny aroma and typical lager appearance with a foamy white head. The taste is very balanced, mild hops, fairly high carbonation, watery, grassy and sweetness on the palate. This is an everyday lager that is easy to drink and would go well with a range of different foods. Unremarkable and a bit boring but unoffensive.

Bottle from Tesco, Streatham, London - (My first Cypriot rate) golden coloured pour with white head. Grassy and light floral aroma and taste, some corn, grainy and sweet bready malts, overall not terrible (tasted better then the preceding Nigerian beers) maybe ice cold in the Cypriot summer sun would knock this up a few marks!

Jun ’14. A 0.33 l bottle, courtesy of Marko, thanks for getting me a new beercountry! It poured clear, dark yellow body with medium sized head. Grainy and a bit salty aroma. I guess it’s the Mediterranean. Flavor was more soft sweetish malty with notable corn, especially in the finish when it starts to dominate with sourness. Thinner in body. Far from anything special, but not truly so bad as it might sound from my notes now. Just another average pale lager.

Aroma is corn and off grain. Taste is baking soda and alkicelster maybe thats how they carbonate? Sweet corn syrup mettalic, one of the worst beers ever, dumped. What a waste of water and a glass bottle. Glad I’m not from this island.

330ml bottle. Pale yellow color. Tiny size, white head, disappears. Sweet, malty, papery, corn in aroma. Malty, cardboard, hop extract, sweet notes in taste. Dry papery mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. Never again!

Bottle. Clear yellow with a large frothy white head with good retention. Cardboard, cornflakes, grain, light white bread, straw, dust. Initially sweet but carbonation and some bitterness lifts it up and the finish is kind of ok, though still on the sweet side.

Can from Casablanca Brasserie 171014. Sometimes the best beers are not always the ones that look or taste great, they are the ones that you unwittingly stumble across when you least expect it. This is one such beer.
